ABC is the only network Direct TV is having issues with. Meaning Saints fans won't have any issues with Direct TV unless there's a storm outside with viewing it this year.

Wrong. That’s a primary concern when I’m watching saints games, plus OP claimed it was “high definition”

DirectTV Stream doesn't have my CBS here in Lafayette. Guess who is showing Saints/Titans? Yep. Antenna for me.

Question. Do they make antennas that have HDMI connections?

In Baton Rouge, You need to use an outdoor antenna to catch Channel 9. Their broadcast is terrible. The other channels are easily caught with an indoor antenna.

It's important for people who are actually going to decide to do what the OP is suggesting.

Many will already have what they need.

Currently- CBS is blacked out on Directv in Lafayette. And NBC is blacked out in BR

LINK

Both situations can be worked around with an antenna but it's a PITA. I have another year in my current 2 year "contract" with DTV and will be looking to drop them asap after that

Go to Walmart.com and search “HD antenna” and you see results saying “HD antenna”

That’s what I based my wording off of. I don’t know exactly what differentiates a HD antenna from a non-HD antenna, I’m just talking about what I actually bought.

Indoor antenna was THE only way we could get tv info updates during hurricane Laura. Good idea to have one.

Youtube tv is for people who have cable and want something that has all the channels and they pay less. With the same cable package you are paying upwards of 250+ a month. With youtube tv and internet you are paying 140 and less if you don't want 4k streaming. You can also stream live tv from your phone/computer ect.

I swear people didn't read the post I replied to and when I said, "unless you are getting it for other reasons."

If you would get it JUST to watch the Saints, it is not worth it. Buy the antenna.

If you are getting it to replace cable (other reasons), sure.
