Walter Thomas.

According to Saints Report, this BEAST was going to be the key cog to the Saints' DL, a position where the Saints struggled to fill in the wake of epic fails like drafting Jonathan Sullivan 6th overall a few years prior, having Brian Young as a starting DT for multiple years, etc.

Thomas' was a freak athlete who's draft stock plummeted when he failed out of Oklahoma State - he ended up @ North Mississippi CC where he had NFL GM's flummoxed when he ran a 4.9 at his pro day @ 370 lbs, squatted 800 lbs and benched 475.

“The guy is a dadgum Russian gymnast,” said Randy Pippin, the head coach at Northwest Mississippi.

So the Saints sign him, the hype train on SR (and other Saints boards) ensues. 15 minutes in the first Saints practice, he is sent to the training room bc he is grossly out of shape. Cut by Payton that same day.

Walter Thomas = tGOAT

Oneme Ojo of course. He will forever be the legend in Saints camp history. There’s a reason the camp award is named after him

He and Mike Hass deserved better QB play to unlock their transcendent talents.

Adrian Arrington just needed more reps. He would've taken off

I remember someone either here or on SR had an Adrian Arrington avatar - it was based off of the American Airlines logo:

This is the correct answer. Hass gets HM. Does Victor Butler qualify as I don’t think he ever played a down for us. But he signed as a FA

I wasn’t high on most of those guys, but I thought Adrian Arrington and Nick Toon were going to be mainstays at the very least.
