@LyonsYellin: .@muchojordan I believe that's already been put through. He's been designated a post June 1 cut, which allows team to prorate cap hit.

Obviously. There are tons of ways to generate cap which I alluded to in my original post. I was simply pointing out we currently have 273k in cap space. I'm sure they will have all kinds of ways to figure it out.

Anyway...the front 7 is looking better. If we add two more guys in the first 3 rounds I'll be pretty jazzed.

Wow. What a joke. SP and Loomis just looking for press coverage.

You can use the 2.25 from Browner now and prorate it.
Not sure I understand. My understanding is that Browner's cap savings do not come until June 1.

Take Rankins at 12

Jordan
Rankins
Fairley
Kikaha

Not a bad front 4.

I think Fairley and Rankins play the same postion, the DT next to the NT. Neither is a run stuffer, but both are good inside pass rushers.

Didn't realize he was only 308 pounds. We'll still need a run stopping NT but there aren't any worthy of being the 12th pick. Treadwell wouldn't be a bad pick then.

Ian Rapoport ?@RapSheet 2h2 hours ago

Kinda quietly, the #Saints have had a really nice offseason. Tough cap situation, but they're doing work -- Laurinaitis, Fleener, Fairley...

after listening to Paytons presser, I still think its a front 7 guy.

Spence, Lawson or Rankins are my 3 guys as of now.

If we grab Fairley, my order would be:
Treadwell
Spence
Lawson
Rankins

Who does the ST board think the brains behind the FA signings have been? Payton, Allen, Loomis, or Ireland? I personally think it has been Jeff Ireland. Maybe Payton and Allen are just saying what they need, and Ireland is putting the options out there and letting the bean counter Loomis do the financials.

Fairley can play the run Better than many preceived "run stuffers"

Lazy assumption that he isn't effective vs the run

I wouldn't use a 1st on him, but depending on where he falls, I think we can now take a flyer on Jaylon Smith. We win the super bowl in 2017

It's staggering to me that this many people would take Treadwell over Doctson.
