Thoughts on taking him at 15? I'm worried after his combine he won't be there, but if he is I think he's got significantly more value than Jordan or Mingo.

Everyone talks about raw guys with high ceilings, but this guy is without a doubt the top athlete in the draft IMO. The guy is 260/265 and busted out like a 4.6 something in the 40. He's played football for about one season, and really turned it on late in the season and in the Senior Bowl.

This could all be moot after his combine, but I'd love this kid at 15 if he's still available.

Love the kid.

Came in 30 pounds more than Mingo, when they did weigh-ins and his 10 second split on the forty was nearly identical (I'm more concerned with this, given the fact that they will hardly ever run a forty). That quickness in a 6'5 270 lb man is just absurd.

Yea I've seen him as high as 5, but some still seem to be skeptical. I assume by 5-14 someone will fall in love with him and snatch him, but who knows?

I think I'd be happy with either him or Dion Jones.

(both to play OLB of course)

I honestly think if no trade back Vacarro will be the pick IMO

Am I the only one who thinks Ziggy is overrated? Watch his tape because its not that good and he was going against pretty avg offensive lines.

The only OLB I'd draft at #15 is Dion Jordan or Jarvis Jones.

very risky pick, not sure i endorse him, but no doubting he has a huge upside.

You're not the only. He's a one trick pony, right now. He looked terrible during senoir bowl practices. Looked uncomfortable, stiff, and had no secondary move. Also, terrible use of his hands as a dl men. Saints arent in a position to wait for him to blossom. We need help immediately.

Until he can develop Better use of his hands and a secondary move, nfl tackles are going to eliminate the speed rush.

Yeah, I'm not real high on this guy. We haven't proven we're the best at developing defensive talent. Would much rather proven commodities over projects

yeah I'm with you. But how many players really stand out looking at the list this draft class has to offer? I mean the ones that do probably won't be there when we pick. It also wouldn't surprise me if all three of the highly touted tackles get picked before #15. Joeckel and Fisher figure to be gone by then. Maybe the Oklahoma kid would be there..but if not.. why not Ansah?

careful with those links chad, it's insulting and offensive to some

I love the upside but he's a longer term project. He may be able to do 3-4OLB but looks much more 4-3DE IMO.

Jones, Mingo, and Jordan could be contributing significantly from Week 1. This guy could be more raw than Hicks.

rotoworld-

According to NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah, BYU DE/OLB Ziggy Ansah may have sewn up a top-ten draft pick with dominant Senior Bowl game and Combine performances.
"I talked to a team that's picking in that 15-20 range that shook their head and said, 'No chance (he'll be available). No chance," Jeremiah said Monday. Ansah single-handedly took over the Senior Bowl game, earning Defensive MVP honors with 3 1/2 tackles for loss, 1 1/2 sacks, and a forced fumble. In Indy, Ansah clocked a 4.63 forty with 21 reps on the bench and a 34 1/2-inch vertical at 6-foot-5, 271. All long, we've projected Ansah as a top-ten pick.
