The NFL/Nike proved that they can screw up a color scheme royally. They will probably go with all gold yet the gold will be 3 different shades.

Monochrome uniforms are an ugly scourge on modern sports. Seriously, they all look like shite. All of them.
How this ever got to be a dominant trend is beyond me.
Think of all the "great" uniforms in sports.
Yankee pinstripes
Dallas Cowboys blue/silver
Pittsburgh Steelers black/yellow.
St. Louis Cardinals White/Red
Los Angeles Dodgers White/Blue
Michigan Wolverines yellow/blue
The secret is CONTRAST, not one-color dominance. The human eye enjoys contrast. Look at a color wheel. The colors that look best together are opposite each other on the wheel, because they feature extremes in contrast.
Purple/yellow
Blue/orange
Red/green
Black and white contrast with all of the above.
THIS. LOOKS. STUPID.
THIS LOOKS DAMN GOOD. MORE OF THIS.

Would much rather all white.

I'm with you on the hate for monochrome, but all traditional baseball uniforms are monochrome. So, it seems the Yankees don't fit in this contrast thing.
The biggest problem with the monochrome looks for football are typically the fact that the socks are the same color as the pants. It makes everything come off as a leotard. The all black Saints unis wouldn't be nearly as bad if they replaced the black socks with some gold socks with black and white stripes.

Color rush has no striping at all on pants. It is straight up one solid color head to toe minus numbers/logos.
I think all black is fine. But it will be some shite gold probably. frick white. It's not even a primary color for Saints. It's an accessory stripe like every other team.

I think the NFL has a rule against alternate helmets bc of all the concussion stuff. That's why you never get to see those sweet Patriot throwback helmets

Nope. The NFL has put emphasis on using only one helmet style. They believe this is somehow related with concussion issues.

That's pretty much the gist of it. It's just laughable because most every college team will go through multiple helmet styles in a year.
