he didn't directly say that he was pissed or would hold out, but he did indirectly... he talked about how he was franchised in SD, and how he got injured that year etc

Yea; he didn't sound like his normal self. Sounds all but certain he'd hold out and not play on this franchise tag because of being gun shy from 05. Damn...Saints need to get this deal done.

Yeah, by the way he worded that, he all but said that he would hold out....Like the other poster said, he sounded very down....Not at all like the Drew we usually hear....

Said that they still working on deal and that the franchise tag just says no one else can talk to him and said that he has played under the franchise tag before and it didn't work out well for him and he has let the saints know that, but he def sounded down about something so take that with grain of salt. Kept saying hopefully

I really don't think he sounded depressed, the Greeneberg is so full of shite. They've been hammering us for weeks over this deal and just want to prove themselves correct.
I think it was just 2 subjects Drew isn't entirely comfortable talking about, not that he's depressed.

Yea when asked if he was down, he said all the bounty questions and stuff. So I don't know where he really is at, all I know is that we need give him his contract!
