And they weren't better spent outside before the kneeling? Now, after god knows how many years of watching football on sundays, it's all of the sudden better to be outside?

Hah good luck being in the 90 degree heat with humidity for 10 hours

Haha. I wonder what would happen if a white reporter(?) (whatever the frick he is) said this about black people....

People would go ape shite. This is nothing but a racist statement again shifting blame everywhere but where its due.....

What are they kneeling about again? I forgot.

Exactly! I hear nothing about plans to do something about the original intended reason for protesting and I doubt anything will be done about it going about the they have been.

Here's an idea....... How about those interested in making a statement about police shootings promote people listening and obeying police when stopped and there would most likely be no shootings if thugs would comply.

At least they will be standing for the anthem. That's all that really matters to me. They can take a knee before even if I think it's a misguided protest or whatever the hell it is

Congratulations on being the only reasonable person on your side of the fence about this, because almost everyone else is still raging despite getting what they wanted.

ST: Look, I don't care about protesting. Just don't kneel/sit during the anthem. It's disrespectful to vets.

Saints: Well, we're not trying to be disrespectful to vets. And most vets say they don't mind.

ST: Don't care, it still feels disrespectful.

Saints: Ok, we've heard your complaints. We're gonna kneel before the anthem; but we'll be standing for the anthem with our hands over our hearts, just like y'all!

ST: Well...just stand and play football!

Saints: Oh, the game will commence as normal following the anthem we're standing for. No football playing will be missed.

ST: I'M STILL MAD!

This is such a false flag. How many people in the us are actually for racial inequality? .0000000001%?

WHAT??? No outrage from anybody about this black person losing his life?? Guess there's no political agenda to take advantage of here since the cops weren't to blame. Just like the 4,000 blacks that lost their lives in Chicago alone during Obama's tenure that no one speaks of because there's no racial or political mileage to it.

If the do it in the dome I'll boo them loudly.

Take the political bullshite out of the game. As a consumer that's what I want. The packers were embarrassed by the lack of participation in the stands. Apparently that's coming to a game near us soon.

It's aggravating because there is a double standard. Players are allowed to kneel, but Dallas can not honor the police officers who lost their lives, and New York can not honor September 11th. However this false narrative that is becoming hip and popular is allowed and even encouraged by the NFL. It's aggravating because there are real issues that the NFL can address and help change but they don't, with the exception of breast cancer. If the NFL ever decides to come back to what it was founded on and begins leaving politics out of it then maybe I will come back to the NFL. Until that point I will enjoy my weekends NFL free.

That's fair. This is much better than the disrespect many of the Saints showed last game.

9/11 has never been honored by the NFL?

Let's look closely at your comparison.
In what manner did the players/organizations want to honor police officers and 9/11?
Was it by wearing badges or something similar?
There's your difference.

The NFL doesn't even let people wear their own fricking socks, dude.
You HAVE to wear what they say, and that has always been the case.

You and I both know this is a poor comparison.

How about you just fricking stand and leave it at that? This shite isn't rocket science. Just don't use the pregame as a time for some controversial political statement, you know, like ALWAYS before, and there is no issue.

We really live in an age where everybody has to come up with some elaborate way to get attention all the time but can't handle the criticism for bringing their personal politics into a non-political forum.
