Hooker is a worse prospect than Malik Willis and he went in round 3 of the draft with no injury

quit listening to matt moscona and his weird arse obsession with Hooker

I see what youre getting at here but doesnt he have a late round grade? That would be a hell of a reach.

Probably our best bet at getting a QB out the draft. Definitely our biggest need.

He's projected in the third at best in most of the reasonable draft analysis I've seen. Age, injury, and the type of offense he played in are significant factors in his projections. Basically, he is a project QB.

Nothing wrong with drafting a project QB.

shite, The Saints should draft two QBs this year and hope to hit on one

All this talk about waiting to get a QB is bullshite. We have to find one ASAP and the best way to do that is to start drafting them

Agreed, so long as you're not reaching for one. I remember Belichick drafting one a long time ago in the sixth, I think. Even Pete Carroll did that in round 3 even though he had picked up Matt Flynn from Green Bay to be his next starting QB.

I wouldn't be opposed to this. Maybe pick up Cam Rising very very late. Or if Levis falls to 29?

Again, we are in agreement.

That would be dumb.

First of all he is coming off an acl tear. That alone drops him out of the first

He’s returning to school.

Hooker is geriatric

Jake Haener is about to turn 24 and is only 1 year younger than Hooker. By your standards they’re both geriatric.

Draft a project qb in the middle rounds. Let them start every game. Either they surprise everyone and show signs of being legit. Or they suck and we get first pick. Win/win.

The QB class next year is going to be way better. Outside of the top 4 guys, all of them will go in the top 15, most of the others are considered to be Day 3 guys. You want to waste two picks on guys who will be out of the league in 2-3 years?

I do like the idea of taking two guys. The Redskins did that with RG3 and Cousins and I'm surprised more teams don't implement it. It's the most important position. At worst, they both suck and you can try the process again in a few years. Middle ground, one of them hits while the other is a backup. Best case, they both hit and you can trade one for picks.

You should probably reset your expectations because the Saints likely won't be bad enough to tank.

Maybe. I'm not predicting what the team will do. I'm suggesting what they should do.

Dude took until 30-years-old before he matured in college. No thanks. Probably will be 40 by the time he's good in NFL.
