I wonder if the NFL regrets making the Saints lose that game now?

I hope this thing takes down Goddell, the Dolphins, and the Browns.

Love it.

Flores was a malcontent at war with his GM, who just happens to be black. Ownership backed the GM.

That’s not a narrative, it’s a fact.

He went against the owner’s wishes to draft Burrow. He deserves to be fired

Making it about race is laughable

Based on coaching? Absolutely not. He made a bad team competitive.

Correct. It certainly appears he was a dickhead playing the race card with ownership, and they said they ain’t dealing with that shite. He didn’t get fired for his coaching; he got fired for his unethical manipulation

Flores was not drafting players nor was he the one to make a deal to get to the 1 pick.

When were the dolphins in a position to draft burrow?

I don't recall the exact details, but apparently late in the season they blew a 20+ point lead to Cincy and had MIA lost, they would have had the inside track for the #1 pick.

Man people on this site just say anything. The owner wanted to draft Tua and Flores wanted Herbert. Not one current or former player has come out speaking negative on his character.

The last coaches to get fired with a winning record were the following:

Lovie Smith - 10-6 (81-63)
Jim Caldwell - 9-7 (62-50)
Brian Flores - 9-8 (24-25)

All these guys are solid coaches and got fired.

Most black coaches don't get second chances. So if an owner is saying throw games and then fire you for losing and ruin any future opportunities you have would suck.

But yes, let's play stupid and believe that he's malcontent.

Giants agree to hire Daboll, but only bring him in to satisfy the Rooney Rule. It's disingenuous.

Unfortunately, you can't legislate the heart of people. Some people will find a way not to hire a black coach.

At one time NFL didn't think black players could play, MLB, C, or QB. It was because the guys had no talent, its because they bought into the racist trop that black players were no smart enough for those positions.

Now it's the same with coaches, they believe black players are qualified to be Coordinator or position coaches, but not the HC.
