Taysom’s only incompletion that wasn’t dropped was the final play.

16/17 (without the drops), 5 rushes for 35 yards.

I’m starting to think this guy could really succeed Drew. Assuming Brees is healthy all season, Taysom would have another year to learn from Sean and Drew.

He’s already better than Teddy, and Teddy has multiple years as an NFL starter.

I’d be fine trading Teddy tomorrow if we can get a mid-late round pick for him.

Would it make sense to offer Taysom a 6 year 30 million dollar offer?

Not really. He has to prove more to get that kind of money.

If he does this against a 1st string defense, then we might have something to talk about.

If Sean kicks the XP instead of going for 2, a FG wins the game. Taysom did enough to win, again bringing the team back after a halftime deficit with Bridgewater playing the first half.

I'm not even sure if 6 year deals are allowed anymore. I know Vick signed a "10 year" deal, but I can't remember another player going over 5 anytime recently.

I would love to get Hill at $5m/yr, but I think he's going to cost more than that. He'd get about that much per season if he were purely a situational slash player + special teamer. He's clearly growing as a passer, and is looking like he can play the most important position in sports, a position that competent starters make ~$15m/yr.

We can tender him next offseason and keep him for super cheap. That gives us leverage. But if we were to offer him an extension that he'd sign tomorrow, I think it would have to be in the 4/$40m range. Backup QBs can make $6-8m/yr easily, and those guys rarely play unless something goes wrong. Hill could be a backup QB that still sees the field, even when the GOAT is still elite.

I don't know but majority had never been to a game before. They screamed every time our offense lined up. That last 4th Q drive Taysom had trouble communicating and it appeared one play was messed up cause it was so loud.
