it wasnt just him, lots of guys fell far below projections because everyone was going after the linemen instead.

the way it was explained on the draft coverage guys was just a thing where teams went hard after linemen and the typical 2nd and 3rd round projected guys like receivers, corners, safeties, and tight ends fell to the 4th and 5th rounds because of that with few exceptions.

i dont think it was much more then that because other guys in his skill set didnt get drafted until after he was so.....

little too high on himself.

So like Lattimore, Bell, and PJ Williams, I’ll take that with a DB.

He has short arms because he is a Gator. Plus a short, choppy stride. I heard that too.

He’s also extremely vulnerable against the double slant.

I read that he was an inconsistent tackler in 2017, but fairly solid in pass coverage. Then in 2018, he was a much better tackler, but not as good in coverage.Could view that as inconsistency, but I don't know.

He was used all over the field with the Gators, and I love DBs who have experience all over. I think its a great pick and could be used in the slot and as a backup safety. Hell, he might be in line to start if the Saints decide to move on from Bell or Williams, but I doubt it. Bell has consistently gotten better, and I think/hope that Williams just had a sophomore slump. Judging by the raving coach review pre-season on Williams, I think that he was perhaps asked to do too much back there, and it bit him in the butt a little. After all, his great rookie season was when the saints used 3 safeties pretty much in their base package.

I don't think LSU was even on his short list of final schools?

I'm glad somebody mentioned this! Ohio State is definitely ahead of Florida for quality DBs. I seriously have no idea why Florida tries so hard to claim DBU. Even when watching the Sunday night football starting lineup introductions, the Florida guys will usually say "from DBU, Florida." It looks desperate on their part. Sorry LouisianaGator... your boys are far from it... that's just the facts.

Mike Detellier was on AFR yesterday. He said that he fell because he is a “talker”. He said CSP actually likes that. Mike D. had him as his 37th ranked player.

You're right. Any team that makes Franks look like Brees is definitely DBU.

Lol! Maybe you’ve got a point!

DBU didn’t have their best day against Franks for sure.

Cheers bro!
