Seems to be a CSP type.

Doubt it, but I just wanted other thoughts about it.

I hope not. I saw the kid play in person against LSU, he looked real bad

Ok... I saw Ben Roethlisberger and Miami(OH) get their arse kicked in Tiger Stadium. Doesn't mean he sucked obviously.

Jordan Love had the unfortunate luck of playing against the greatest college football team ever with probably the worst group of players he had there.

I was at that game too. Roethlisberger wasn’t terrible considering they had less than 50 yards rushing that game and LSU had over 200. He went 22 for 34 for 195 yards, 1 TD and 1 int.

Love did have a terrible game against us. He went 15 for 30 for 130 yards with 3 ints and no TDs. Granted, those were two very different LSU teams.

My main issue with Love is how many interceptions he threw this year. Major regression. Although career wise, Love and Mahomes both threw 29 interceptions during their college years. Although Mahomes had 93 TDs to Love’s 60.

If CSP takes him at 24, I’d be okay with it. But I don’t want to trade up for him.

Didn’t he have a new offense and new, horrible skill players?

If you don't think the Saints will trade up for him, you have not followed a lot of Saints drafts. If Payton and Mickey like someone, they go get him.

I think he lost his head coach and offensive coordinator and 8 or 9 starters from his sophomore year.

How did Lamar do in the playoffs. Defenses will catch up to Lamar and he will just be an average Qb who will be injury prone the rest of his career. Media always falls for the next great black Qb like McNabb, Culpepper, Vick etc...and exactly how many SB have they won...none.

Love isn’t Lamar Jackson. I’m not a Lamar Jackson fan, but he took a huge step forward this year and won the MVP. He deserves credit. Now he needs to work on being consistently accurate, but that’s something every young QB needs to work on. Guys like RGIII couldn’t adapt/improve and he’s now a backup. A guy like Russell Wilson has become more accurate and is a clutch guy.

And Love isn’t Lamar Jackson. If anything, he’s probably closer to Jared Allen or Deshaun Watson IMO.

Also Russell Wilson is black if you somehow forgot that and he won a SB

I think Love is getting too much of a pass for that. Its not like he played in an elite conference

Not saying Love is it, but talent around you and scheme matter.

Burrow is exhibit A. Had a bad year and a good year.

Russ Wilson was a 60.9% college passer. Mahomes 63.5%.

Does the bad tape/season outweigh the good tape/season? There are so many intricacies at the QB position, stuff we cannot identify.

I'm not saying he sucks but his stock seems to be climbing to an area I wouldn't be comfortable taking him. Back end of round 1 early rd 2? Sure.

teams desperate for QB play I think tends to make them squint and see what they want to see with some of the prospects

They also played in a Power 5 conference.

Agreed. If he’s there at 24 and we take him, I’ll be happy. But I don’t want to trade up to #5 or #12 to get him. We have other needs that rookies will have to fill and we don’t have that many picks this year.
