frick him. He goes to Rams trying to be Hollywood after the Saints genuinely loved and wanted him.

Did you see the QBs that would be throwing the ball to him, as a WR with options would you rather Stafford or Siemen/Hill as your QB?

Imagine thinking he is going to take a hometown discount just because. He already decided not to sign with us last year

The QB wasn't the problem. It was those dumb shite WRs that couldn't catch or get open. Guys like Siemian and Hill did enough to win games but no one could catch.

Not disputing that, my question is if you were a top WR and had the choice of Stafford or Siemian/Hill, who would you choose?

By choice? Or out of necessity?

A heathy Beckham can demand 15-20 million a year that's facts after looking at free agency..

The fact that he had a acl and will play half a season knock that number in half..

Then hit the negotiation table bcuz wat u think is to much another team will spend ..

We can tell him hey we have this for u $$, a chance to make a Superbowl run, your best friend on the team, plus u can win a ring in your hometown.. or you can take more and play somewhere else..

It's simple (hometown discount)

I know what it is. I want to know what dollar amount you are talking about.

For example, if we could get him for a deal like we got Landry, it's a no brainer. But, I'm not paying anywhere near 10M for him.

If you have 6 million laying around I'll fill out the first part of his season

Honest question. How many people on here would take half the pay that you'd normally get to work at your local mom and pop hardware store? That's essentially what a hometown discount is?

Not commenting on the " should he take a hometown discount" thing but that isn't even close to the same thing. No one grows up idolizing a mom and pop store or dreaming of working there. Your friends and family aren't pushing you to work for the mom and pop stores nor coming to cheer you on while you work. Look at Keenan Lewis who did take less money to come here. LINK Some people do dream of playing for their hometown team and would be willing to make some concessions. That's not me saying they should or that it should be the expectation.

I got an even better idea and it guaranteed to work and make everyone happy :)) ok ya listening :)) rams want Becham jr back at rams how about let rams have becham and then boom saints dont have to worry about becham being injured. Everyone wins becham getting paid by rams and he may or may not be injured and be able to play least 12 games.

Y’all need to realize wherever Beckham goes it’ll be on a discount. It’s not like he isn’t signed bc he’s holding out for money. He the ACL 3 months ago and could very well miss the season. It’s almost June, most WR rooms are set. He will either sign for cheap now or sign for cheap later in the season, or just sit out the whole season

I never said anything to the contrary. My comment wasn't about Odell, it was about a terrible comparison between a player taking less to play for his home team and a regular person taking less to work at a mom and pop store vs a corporate? chain.

Taking the LSU connection out of it OBJ to the Saints makes no sense at this point for either side.

It wasn't meant as literally a mom and pop store, it was the hometown.

Love these comparisons where we try to pretend it’s the same thing

Obviously not everybody feels the same but just look at all the Tyrann quotes about how important it was for him to get a chance to play in New Orleans at this point in his career. I think Odell would rather stay in LA but it pretend like it’s not a thing is just false.
