Genuinely curious; why don’t bigtime guys do this more often? It obviously worked out for Eli.

i think most guys coming into the league don't care to threaten to sit out a year because they typically don't come from money like a Manning does..

so that in itself is very rare.

John Elway was the first to do it. The Elway situation was where the Manning's got the idea from. The Colts selected Elway #1 in the 1983 draft but after Elway threatened to never play for them as well as play baseball for the Yankees, the Colts traded him to the Broncos. Bo Jackson was another to do it. He was originally drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Burrow has no loyalty to the Saints whatsoever. His roots are in Ohio,

Eli didn't refuse to play in SD - Archie orchestrated all of that crap saying his son would not play there, and got the trade to happen.

also OP is a fricking nimrod

No the 1st or 2nd pick is a great deal of money more than the 30 th. And Cincinnati is near where he is from so I don’t think he would treat them with a lack of respect

He’s going to Cincy. And he should. They love him and he loves them. We just don’t have the draft capital to have a shot.

Burrow is up for any challenge. He’ll play for whoever drafts him.

Light years more competitive than 1999? They sure did not look like it vs the probably one the worst ever teams in the falcons
