Fair question. I’m not citing anything in particular, but it concerns me when the QB is this visibly frustrated and is the new guy in the locker room.

I’ve been in enough locker rooms to know, you have to earn the right to act like that. Brady could get away with it….it is just my opinion that Carr won’t for too long unless he starts winning.

carr needs to -

stop crying, literally.

be productive with criticism, which means not whining ever other play.

in a nutshell, grow up.

carr seems like a good dude. i pull for him and hope he can get this mess turned around. he's close. one dropped end-zone pass and a two point conversion away from adding to his league leading comeback total. hopefully there's a silver lining to the loss last week in the form of a wake-up call to carr and the team. that was a good jacksonville team, probably one of the top 2 or 3 teams we'll play with this years soft schedule.

Carr just don't have any options to throw the ball down field so that's why we see so many check downs to the RBs.

I changed my mind on this after watching the QB school link.

The plays aren't always good design, but a lot are. Carr is just not attempting the throws and is checking down. Sometimes he checks down without even looking at the wide open deep balls. Top that with Carr is not an accurate passer compared to other NFL QB's.

Watch QB school link and then come back and tell us it's bad play design. I think it's more a dumb QB, that isn't making reads, and must not be able to throw the deep ball after the shoulder injury. That's my opinion.

The QB School link that showed a very large amount of happy feet should scare everyone. Carr's barely planting his feet before some of these throws.

At least he looks like he gives a shite. He is trying to get everyone on the same page.

Everyone knows that the OL is giving him very little time so the WRs have to understand the routes and sit downs.

You cannot go through the motions not expecting to get the ball...

I changed my mind on this after watching the QB school link.

The plays aren't always good design, but a lot are

JT O'Sullivan's "QB School" and "DaBoot Tragedies" had very good break downs. I had never heard of DaBoot Tragedies until yesterday, but this guy gets it. Seems just a regular ole baw Saints fan with better than average knowledge, was blunt in his observations, and funny as hell. Audio NSFW due to language but he was comical.
Back to the point(s):
--Carr is straight up not playing very good, without watching breakdowns of other QBs I'd feel confident in saying he is not only below average/bottom half but more like bottom 1/3. He is missing several reads, that's noticeable when watching game live on TV but even more so on the All22. He's also not being very accurate, with several throws against the Jags over the middle in zone that he needs to throw down and away from the DB to give our WR a chance to catch it without getting blown up but instead he's throwing high fast balls at them perfect for the DB who's coming in over the top behind our WR. Carr's got the ole Peyton Manning happy feet on his tip toes lots of throws, hitting his back foot at the end of his 3/5/7 step drop and instead of being ready to fire off his back foot he's twinkle toeing it for 2 more backwards steps throwing without properly setting his feet. Against zone several times he's going first read then immediate check down, with one being on a play so fast that the WR's had not even made the first move/break on their routes and had he waited Olave would have had a 50 yard TD. I know our o-line play hasn't been great but they have given him time several plays that could have been huge gains if not TDs against the jags in zone cover 2 with Olave running a deep post past the safety wide TF open.
--Carmichael's playcalling has given us more opportunities than i realized after watching the All22, that needs to be mentioned!!! That said when your QB & O-line aren't executing then you need adjust to what is working. We need more short/quick hitch passes in the 4-7 yard range on 1st & 2nd downs, specifically when defense is in zone and we can use motions to give Carr a read that it will be zone. We need more choice routes with Kamara over the middle instead of the flats. And for the love of god stop throwing fade routes!! Carr has been terrible and inaccurate on his fades, firing them in with no touch, leaving them inside when the WR is on the outside, and several times been a full second late on throwing the ball which is crucial when inside the 10 and throwing a fade to the sidelines. Another for the love of god is stop having multiple vertical routes on 3rd and shorts. A deep shot can sometimes be great on those if D is playing for the short pass and we can get behind them but that is low %.

As bad as our offense seems watching games on the live broadcasts what's even more pissing off is you can see on the All22 where we have missed opportunities that could have broken games wide open in our favor. There are fairly simple fixes that could turn this season around if we can call some plays better in certain spots and fricking execute better on those that are called.

Skip to the 30:36 mark for the play that got all the attention on Olave for quitting on the route. This can change your perspective.

It’s def not good leadership. Drew showed frustration when receivers screwed up but he handled it like a grown arse man on the sideline. It helped that Drew was actually good too. He earned respect, Carr does not.

Some of the film reviews I have seen on this are stunning. The reviewers can’t believe the idiotic routes this team is running, and someone as clueless as me can even see it’s awful.
