I think Tom and CSP could very well team up for a couple of years.

Contenders for this supposed “sleeper team”
Buffalo- McDermott might be Ron Rivera 2.0. They have been whiffing on recent draft picks, so ownership may have no reservations about giving Sean control. The Bills window is NOW, Josh Allen is 26, why not pair him with a great offensive coach?
Tennessee- Things seem stale with Mike Vrabel. He’s a very good coach, but it might in “mutual separation” territory. They have Malik Willis and they need to see if he’s any good.
Jets- Good young offensive weapons, good overall roster, does an offensive minded head coach make more sense? I think Robert Saleh has been solid, but he’s not worth keeping if Payton wants the job. They have a mess at QB though.
Commanders- Ron Rivera is a bum. Not sure it’s attractive for Payton, but the roster is solid. Shitshow at ownership though.
Bears- Young, dynamic QB in Fields, Payton’s hometown. Makes sense, but Matt Eberflus just finished his first year.

Wild shot in the dark here, but is it the Packers? LeFleur had the (arguably) best team in the league for 3 years, back to back MVP with Rodgers, and has absolutely zero to show for it. The team is in free fall.

You work for the team?

Why not the Chargers? I know they haven't been willing to pay big money for players but you have a young stud QB. Nows your time to gwt a Coach to take the next step.

Wherever Payton goes can we trade Loomis to him for free?
