If he’s released I would go after him. But I’m not trading an asset for that contract.

This board didn’t want Garoppolo, but many seem to love the idea of Carr coming here. Someone please help me understand this.

Most here are retards. I’ve got THOUSANDS of downvotes from this past offseason when I kept sounding the alarm about hiring Dennis Allen, moving forward with Jameis, trading too much to move up for a beta WR in the draft, signing Mathieu and Landry…

These were all moves lauded by this board because 95% of posters here never take off the black and gold glasses.

You have a really high opinion of yourself, don't you?

Carr is a purgatory QB, wins you enough games to keep you from drafting his replacement but isn't going to win you anything of note.

he's solid. he's never had a good defense. never had any consistency in scheme. i wouldn't take his salary cap, but i'm not sure what's going on with that since he left the team.

i think he would kill it with kamara, johnson, olave, shaheed and thomas.

Calling bad moves for what they are is realism, my guy. Has nothing to do with having a high opinion of oneself, just an ability to detach my fandom from reality.

Some of that is arguable though...

Allen certainly looks like a flop, but who knows? He did have some big injury issues.

You saying olave is a "beta" and not a #1 doesn't make it a fact.

Winston and Landry certainly didn't work out.

Mathieu was rated really high on pff, and he is a pro bowler.

That line of thinking is how Carson Wentz keeps getting starting jobs.

The Eagles arguably got better when Nick Foles took over for Wentz.

The Raiders looked damn near unstoppable with Carr. Once he went out, they scored 6 and 14 points in two losses to end the season and the playoffs.

Terrible in Oakland also. Carryover effect.

But it is a fact. Olave isn’t, hasn’t been, and never will be an offenses top dog. He isn’t capable of taking over a game. He does NOTHING after the catch, doesn’t break tackles.

Unfortunately, the players themselves every year shite all over PFF. PFF grades don’t mean anything. In 2019 I remember they had Mahomes as like the 14th best QB in the league. Nobody cares about PFF grades.

Imagine Payton back with Carr as the resurrection kid. It would be epic. Drew Brees to be WB coordinator.

I think he could be a good fit with the right offensive coordinator. He’s never benefitted from a good defense.

Also after last season:
