Derek Carr ranks 32nd in fantasy points for QBS

For ole heads that don't understand fantasy football or just think its stupid, I understand but it really is just a simple measure of production.
25 passing yards = 1 pt
pass TDs = 4 pts
10 rushing yards = 1 pt
rushing TDs = 6 pts
You also get negative points for turnovers
Do you guys worry about having the least productive QB in the nfl? Or do you think fantasy is dumb and there is zero correlation between fantasy points and QB ability.

O line has been bad, playcalling is questionable and he didn’t have Kamara for the first 3 games. I’m not worried but we need to clean things up on the line to be more productive on offense.
Edit: AND he got hurt in a game and played while still hurt in the next game.

Ok so its just a coincidence he's the least productive QB in the NFL. Pheww! I was starting to get worried

I can see this point, but you also have to factor in that he's not much of a runner and guys like Daniel Jones, Richardson, Mac Jones?, and others do get a little bit of a boost because they run more than he does.
Another factor in QB production would be that the Saints are one of the top rushing teams (per attempts, not production) in the league.

As fans, we worry more about wins than where the QB ranks in fantasy production. We also do not get to control who the starting QB is for the team that we cheer for.

Ohhh! And here I thought QBs should get credit for advancing the ball via rushing yards.

No, because he can only go up from here with more familiarity in the system, better playcalling and a more cohesive o-line (even if it's not this season).

Didn’t say they shouldn’t get credit? I just pointed out their scores get a boost bc they are used more as part of the rushing offense

1 rushing TD = 1.5 passing TDs

There’s a correlation between points and ability, especially with a mobile QB. A points and wins correlation is not the same story though being as it’s a team sport. Look at Herbert, often near the top of fantasy points but middling results to show for it due to ineptitude in coaching and defense.
Carr is in a similar but reversed spot. He’s nowhere near a talent like Herbert, but the offensive scheme and injuries or missed PT don’t do him any favors.

He really does. And this board was roasting anyone who didn't think he was a top 10 QB during the off-season.
With our offensive weapons, he should be atleast in the top half of the league, production wise.

I'm not entirely sure how Carr being THE problem on this offense is still a narrative.
Carmichael is the obvious issue here.
Carr isn't elite by any means, but he's played much better with less talent. He didn't just become the worst QB in the league over one offseason.
Our offense is poorly designed, lacks any creativity and is completely inefficient.
