Saints started 5-7 in the first 12 games when it mattered. *with the easiest schedule in the NFL.
Carr threw 11 tds in 12 games.
In a pass happy league, that’s garbage.

And where has that gotten them? Worse.

How does one miss the playoffs going against an all time terrible schedule? 44% of Carr’s TD passes were when the saints won or loss by 15+ points. 60% of our teams TDs came in the second half. Didn’t score a first half TD in six games. 18th RZ TD% (8th most RZ trips in the NFL) 15th pass yards 15th pass TD% 20th yards per completion 20th yards per play 19th yards per attempt Carr did what he does every year and you think the OC was to blame
I sincerely urge people like you to go look at our rushing offense last year. It was historically abysmal. Alvin Kamara was our leading rusher with 600 yards and 5 TD’s. Our longest rush as a team was 29 yards. It’s not easy to score inside the 20 with zero power running game. We brought in Jamal Williams to score inside the 10 and he went out and averaged 3 yards a carry.

Lmao. This is a real statement? Im not even convinced Carr is the best quarterback on the team

In Carr's last season with the Raiders, Josh Jacobs was the league's leading rusher.
Davante Adams also put up good numbers with Carr throwing to him.
McDaniel benched Carr however, and and then I guess there was the mutual parting of ways.
I wonder if the raiders regret letting him go because their quarterback situation certainly isn't better than it was since he's left.
I think what worries me about this year's Saints team is that a lot of things went our way last year as far as scoring offense and scoring defense and turnover margin, but we only finished 9-8. This year the schedule does appear to be more difficult heading in.
I know there's always a few teams that underachieve but there are also a few teams that end up overachieving you never really know what's going to happen.

Another face-painter talking out his arse. Raiders were 8-9 last year. Carr’s last year they went 6-11. Has their qb play been any better? No, Catt wasn’t doing anything to help them win. Now they can move forward, rebuild and draft a qb that actually has potential. Will it work? Maybe not but they are at least trying.

Someone called aidan Oconnell started 10 games for them and they only won one less game
They are better off bc they aren’t in on Derek Carr for $150 mil for the foreseeable future

That's not a fair statement, the Saints only into Carr for $142.8M for the foreseeable future

Their offense was hilariously bad. They won in spite of it, not because of it. You don't think Carr would have done better than 3600 yards passing, 19 tds, and 18 ints?
They are wasting away a good defense, "reset" all you want but if a defense can carry a team into the middle, you aren't resetting with a quality Qb prospect.

Who knows why they won more games without Carr but they did. One of their better seasons in the past decade. They are happy to be done with the Carr era and now they can try to start over. Must be nice…

As a Raider fan I can tell you I cant even remember all the OCs this guy has chewed through.
His best year was under Musgrave who had him throwing bubble screens and dump offs.
He had Amari Cooper and Crabtree, and most of our cap tied up into a very good Oline.
He still was trash with everything there for him to succeed other than the cap money we couldn't put into the D to prop his scarecrow arse.
He then threw Musgrave under the bus, because he kinda hard on him, and he needed his space.
He wanted to put his good buddy Todd Downing in as OC. It was complete
train wreck and Downing was fired after 1 year on the job, which led to Del Rios firing and the hiring of Gruden.
Hes not a coack killer, hes a coach serial killer.

Oconnell was a 4th round pick who had very little reps behind Jimmy G.
He came off the bench out of nowhere and thrown to the wolves against Mack and Bosa, think Mack had like 6 sacks.
The next time we faced the Chargers I think he had 4 TDs in a 60+ pt performance.
Carr would never.
This year he's a backup on the cheap and Minshew is starting at 15 mill this year.
The raiders will take that every day over Carr at 150 mill, no way any day.

Thanks for posting that he is an average QB - 12.8 to be specific.

Not at all. If anything its break even with potential for improvement at far less cost than you poor guys our going to have to endure.
We can sign guys like Christian Wilkins while cutting Jimmy G and taking the hit without a thought.
After 10 years of just lets sacrifice everything to prop the scarecrow, we can invest into other players that actually can change the game rather than one guy who isnt capable of moving the needle.
Minshew also has an infectious personality, which Carr will never have.
Carrs personality is an infection.

Your damn right we are.
I dont ever want to see that guy around the Raiders. Hes not a Raider.
He was benched, went home 2 weeks early and cashed his check even though we didnt have to pay him, he quit because his ego couldnt take the sideline.
QBs get benched all the time Matt Ryan got benched and didnt act like a bitch.
Carr said he wouldn't come back to the Raiders because we made his wife cry, literally.
Heres the thing, he cried, and you cant come back if we fired your arse.

Drew Brees did it almost every year.

Rest easy . Dennis will give you guys Haener or the Rattler soon. Whichever one threatens Derrick Curr the most.
