I think it says the nfl’s catch rule is a fricking embarassment. No one knows what a catch is

It’s been a joke for years. Remember Dez’s catch.

He also needs to ask how far past the line of scrimmage do you need to be to be called for offsides.

People say all the time they don’t know what a catch is anymore just to show how dumb the rules are

Send me a link to a head coach of an NFL Football team blaming a loss bc he doesn’t know what a catch is

If it happens all the time shouldn’t be too hard for you to find a quick link

What does it say when someone who runs around message boards calling people idiots makes an idiotic post taking a statement literally that is clearly meant to be taken in context?

Honestly don’t understand how the Olave’s TD catch where he got knocked out was reversed to be a catch and his catch today was reversed to no catch. I thought the one today seemed more like a catch.

ETA: I think they both were catches but the one today seemed to be less debatable.

I’m not sure what was worse: the ruling or Blandino covering up for the incompetence of the ruling.

You can have all the replay in the world, but if your rules are fricked up, it doesn’t matter.

A mature adult should have understood what Allen meant by that.

I dislike him as coach just as much as you do but this is reaching a little too far lol

See: the turkey day Vikings game. Last night’s LSU game. Olave’s catch in tonight’s game. All normally good catches ruled incomplete for reasons that make no sense, aren’t in the rules, and aren’t explained. I was driving home listening to Deuce commentate the game, and he strongly disagreed with the call on Olave. Watched it on DVR when I got home, and I didn’t see the problem either.

As much as I dislike Dennis Allen, there does seem to be an odd definition of “catch” these days, and 2/3 of the strange calls were against Louisiana teams. Weird.

Oh, the zebras know and nowadays they have a direct link on the field to NYC that tells them the weekly redefinition of a catch.

Ball hits hands of receiver
Receiver tucks ball in
Receiver takes 3 steps with ball
Receiver gets tackled
Ball in "possession" on ground
Receiver rolls on ground
Ball pops out
No Catch

Blandino is a clown.....and a failed one at that.

Now if Pererria was reviewing, I might disagree but his explanation would carry more juice

Dez doesn’t know
Megatron (both the WR and the Transformer) doesn’t know
Jaray Jenkins doesn’t know
Jesse James doesn’t know
The poor Chicago guy who snapped off his leg against us doesn’t know.

It’s one of the stupidest things about the game - if you have the ball more or less secure it needs to be a catch.

If he still doesn’t know what a catch is maybe he is in wrong profession.

I see that the nuances of language, particularly the English language, is something you still have to master.

Don't be alarmed, lots of a people on the spectrum have this difficulty. Spend more time around neuro- typical types
