Davenport costs keeps going up.

He has cost us 3 first rounders now. Had to draft his twin to light a fire under his arse to fulfill his potential. Guess the pick makes sense if you look at it that way. Saints front office going all in on him once again.

Cam has 4 years on his deal. I think this kid is Davenports replacement. Got an extra “cheap” year on it. Trade him.

Right, our first round pick HAS to be related to Davenport... and not to the fact that we lost three productive guys along the defensive line to FA and our one big star on that line is getting older and his production is slipping. You don't like Davenport and so you see every problem through that lens... which is why you got this one wrong.

Originally I thought it was for "cheap" depth next year since we are cap strapped. Until I looked at his contract on OTC. He's due $9.5M in his 5th year.
IMO they are hoping he has a good year and trade him.
