Darren Sharper in his first day on ESPN just said he'd pick Drew Brees ahead of Brett Favre as the best QB he's ever played with.

I love when people say that a black guy/football player is "well spoken". That's just f'ing the polite way of saying he talks like a white guy.

Let's stop sugar coating this. It's a crusade of mine... racism is funny, lets all embrace the shite out of it!

What if I say a white guy is well-spoken?

I think that Drew Brees is well spoken, and he displayed that last night during his speech(es).

If you think all "white guys" speak the same, maybe it's you who are racist?

Jimbeaux - it was a joke. Don't be so defensive. Racism IS funny... for any race. Maybe if more people laughed at it - we'd all be less racist?

I'm white, and I would not consider myself well spoken. I had a mumbling problem for the long time. I've gotten better, but it's not something that comes naturally to me.

Well spoken is well spoken. I don't put myself on anyone else on a curve, saying their well spoken for a _____. It's insulting to everyone's intelligence.

Darren sharper, one of the hardest hitting safety's in the league, unless he's tackling Greg jennings

Huh?

Maybe if people stopped referencing race and racism, we'd all be less racist.

think about stereotypes, that is a wrong thing to do, but they exist because of the underlying basis having some degree of truth

Anybody remember Chuck Muncie in an interview? He was not well spoken. What comes to mind if I mention the vegetables growing in Pahokee Florida? Nothin racial, there's a ton of dumbass white folks too.

Dumbass white sports quotes-

"Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein."
Joe Theismann

"Men, I want you just thinking of one word all season. One word and one word only: Super Bowl." Bill Peterson, former FL St coach

"I owe a lot to my parents, especially my mother and father."
Greg Norman, Golfer

"Half this game is ninety percent mental."
Danny Ozark, Philadelphia Phillies former manager

"I was glad to see Italy win. All the guys on the team were Italians."
Tom Lasorda, former Dodger manager on World Cup soccer tournament

"Predictions are difficult. Especially about the future."
Yogi Berra, Baseball player

Any way you put this statement it is racist. You are basically saying he should talk different because hes black. Sorry.

Anyway Darren is now a permanent commentator on ESPN, you will be seeing him on NFL Live and Sportscenter from now on.

Jabari Greer is probably the most well-spoken player on the team next to maybe only Brees. Greer also doesn't know when to stop talking

False. Colloquialism isn't just racial. New Yorkers have accents, Louisianians have accents, Arkansasians have accents, etc. To say that commenting that someone is well-spoken is purely racial is narrow-minded and shortsighted.

he's been on all day and giving the Saints/Brees lots of props. The chick he is on the show with said "your first day" earlier. Wonder if he is trying to be a full time analyst.
