Dan Arnold will surprise this year

Already saw one article predicting the dude from Norte dame overtaking him.
I doubt it. Fans are so fragile and cling to one bad play like Williams against the Vikings and Arnold’s “drop”. The fact is he was an udfa playing te for the first time and looked pretty good overall.
I think he surprises this year.

He won’t even make the team
If it’s between him and Mack between the 3rd TE, they’ll prob go with the guy who can catch and who at least has potential as a blocker at 250lb in Mack

He was in CSPs doghouse later in the year and was inactive for the playoffs IIRC. He may be on the PS, but I doubt he makes the team.

I could see him having some use if he actually made the team in certain packages. That being said I’d be surprised if he makes the team without some injuries.

I don't hold one play against him and it's not easy to change positions in the NFL.
But he has some real competition this year.
Hope they all ball out making it tough on the coaches.

If he makes the team, it means he has improved significantly. That is a positive. Mack is no lock to make the team, but I sure hope he shows enough to do so.

Honestly, Arnold probably gets the befit of the doubt if it's a close call vs Mack cause Payton wants people talking about what a genius he is getting production out of a udfa converted wr from bumfrick u.
