I like Hoss as a media member, and he might make a great sideline reporter, but he is horrible at PBP.
Strief was bad when he started but he somewhat improved over time. Hoss has not improved one bit.

In a way I kind of would like them to bring back the run. DMC Walk this Way. Background music when they recap the highlights of the game.

I liked Strief and thought he got better as time went along too.

I made it a point to listen to WWL during Saints games when it was Jim and Hokie on the call. Unbelievable drop off in quality without them.

Can't remember which channel but there was a good one 20 years ago that had Imus, Tom Fitzmorris, Dr. Dean Edell, and Coast to Coast.
Then they switched to Air America. That was horrible radio. Unlistenable.

One would think a successful TV sportscaster could easily transition to play by play commentator for a football game. I’m surprised how bad he is.
