It’s the wrong kind of risk though. It’s just kind of staring you in the face & doesn’t feel right.

They could have taken other players with upside that did not have the injury history

He was the consensus #1 overall recruit coming out of high school and arguably did not meet that expectation.

"Didn't meet expectations,"... yet drafted in the 1st round

I just don’t like having to go back a few years on a guy to find good tape on him

with Latt you saw what he could do when healthy, Bresee is more speculation because I wouldn’t even say his freshmen tape was so crazy good you know what you’re getting when healthy.

Maybe it’s our history with first round interior DL but I just don’t feel good about this pick at all

I'm whatever about Bresee.

With our cap frickups our DL needs bodies and there really aren't many guys with top tier potential left, especially DI.

I was super pumped about Latt.

But the separation of the 2 guys is almost 2/3 of a round

yeah, I was hoping somehow either Kancey or Mazi would fall to us. I think Tampa took Kancey just to weaken us.

Im not arguing he isn't a first round talent. The fact is though he didn't meet expectations on the field at Clemson and of course some of that was no fault of his own (injury, death of his sister).

I’d say he definitely met expectations while they’re looking at his stats. Better stats than all but maybe a handful of other dt’s

Take away “being the former #1 overall recruit “ and it’s a pretty terrible resume for a first rounder.

Jesus do any of y’all research anything before posting? He definitely has a great resume. Did he wreck shite all 3 years as expected for a #1 overall recruit? No he didn’t and thank god because he would’ve been the first pick in the draft or top five. He has the stats in top 1% and his combine/draft day numbers are incredible.

Dabo literally says this about every single player that comes out of his school. I know this kid was impressive for Dabo but I wouldn’t take what he says as the end I’ll be all. Because according to him every player coming out of Clemson is going to be a star for you. It’s why scouts arent a fan of him sometimes. That said, I hope he’s right on this one.
