For the ones who went to the game, was this game the loudest you've ever heard the dome?

if the decibals only got to 111, then it wasnt even louder than AZ game.

and the NE MNF was louder than the AZ game, according to the Decibal readings

but last night was loud regardless, every snap for the Vikes was roaring

I think the 111 was just what they showed on TV at the time, I'll bet it got louder than that.

I agree and to give you another idea of how loud it was after the Saints first TD, I could not hear Crunk over the loudspeakers.

I heard a few "analysts" say the Vikes first TD quieted the crowd,

That's because they're so busy kissing the Colts' asses they don't realize the fans there are retarded and cheer when the offense is trying to call plays, while we'll get quiet as we're supposed to.

That was on the Radio Shack decibel meter (yes, it literally was) that the Fox Network sprung for, for the game.

i've been on the field for every home game for 10 years. i don't see how last night could ever be topped

personally i think the viking's first drive was the loudest part of the whole game, but it was continuously very very loud the whole entire game, which i've never seen.

with that being said, when he made the field goal i was running out onto the field like a mad-man so i wasn't really paying attention to the crowd volume, i would imagine that it was pretty loud at that point though

We sit just to the right of that upright and it felt like all 70,000 people were screaming at me!

They said the Arizona game topped 115 decibels and the Patriots game was 120.

Yesterday was much much louder than those games so I would say the 111 is a bit inaccurate, unless that was just a random point that they showed it. After a while it was like being inside of a drum.

It so loud the entire game. No one let up in the stands. The fans wanted that game so bad. I'm paying for all the yelling

It was real loud, but it can't top the LSU/Florida 2007 game. In that game I was screaming and still couldn't hear myself.

I was expecting the crowd noise to cause the Viking offense to have several false starts and other penalties due to the fact that they could not hear the signals. However, they did not have any pre-snap penalties that I can remember, so it was sort of a letdown.

But, I heard Scott Shanle on one of the talk shows this morning and he said the crowd really affected the Viking offense because they gave up trying to call any audibles at the line because they could not hear. So the crowd obviously did their job well!!!

at the end of the game, they had 12 people in the huddle which very well could be attributed to the crowd noise.

that penalty was going ot be huge, but Favre ended up throwing a pick the next play

They showed the 111 rating before a 2nd down vikings play in the middle of the second quarter iirc.

If they took the reading after a saints TD or the FG I bet it'd be in the upper 120's at least.

They took the db rating at a much less than optimal time.

I think a few LSU games have been louder. I remember the auburn game(earthquake game) and as someone else mentioned the '07 Florida game were louder. As for the Saints I think the AZ game might have been louder a few times. You could actually feel the floor shaking underneath your feet. But last night was up there. My ears were still ringing this morning.
