He admittedly tries to push the meter for ratings. I quit listening to his show b/c his opinion changes daily

I wasn't asking about Cowherd, I was trying to stir up a discussion about how we compare to the Falcons right now, and in the future of this season.

I already know how this board feels about him. I even stated that in my initial posting.

True, and yet I'd still rather listen to him than Mike and Mike

I'd rather get a prostate exam than have a tube shoved up my penis hole. That doesn't mean a prostate exam is "good".

Better TE? Not so sure about that. I know Gonzales is 400 years old, but he still produces. Graham is great, but as of today I'd say Gonzales is probably better. RB? Ehh, they have Michael Turner. I know he'll probably break down soon because of the amount of touches he gets, but again, as of today, I'd say he's better than anyone we have. Do they still have Norwood?

No way. Gonzales was useless 2nd half of last season. He's been on his last leg for awhile now. I think he's in "Joe Horn as a Falcon" mode now.

our RB's are way better than theirs.

Well, Ray Edwards at DE was the missing piece.

So...they have that. Just like Philly is the Dream Team.

ETA: Oh, and the Cowboys are, once again, Preseason Super Bowl champs.....well, until the Eagles signed Nnamdi.

My point was, I'd rather the TE's on our roster vs. theirs, and gonzales' age plays a huge factor in that opinion. Plus, TE's on our team benefit from Brees playing the QB position, whereas Matt Ryan doesn't exactly "make his receivers/TE's better". If that makes any sense.

Turner himself (if healthy) is better than any one RB we have, but again, I'd rather the RB's on our roster as opposed to theirs.

Cowherd said the same thing last year about the NFC South in the preseason, and ATL won the division.

The Saints should have swept last year, but both teams were pretty evenly matched. We had the tougher schedule and they had the better record.

If I was a third party observer and had to pick a roster this year, I'd pick the Saints simply because of our advantage at the QB position.

After looking at the numbers I can agree with what you said about Gonzalez.

As far as rb goes, they still have Michael Turner. We have two running backs who get hurt a good bit and an unproven rookie. Now at the end of the year we may very well have a much better backfield than them if our guys don't get hurt and Ingram produces like we all think he will. Like I said, I fully expect Turner to break down soon from all of those carries, but right now, I'd say they have better rb than we do. Everything else we have is better though...except maybe wr's.

Potentially. I think Ingram has more potential than Turner did coming out of the draft. Have a long season to find that one out though.

And he's pretty open about it too. If NO were a bigger market I bet it'd be less clear to him how much better Atlanta is.

IMO there's no way that our RB stable isn't the best in the league (assuming PT is healthy by Week 1).

We are so loaded at RB that it might be unprecedented in league history.

Didn't SD have LT, Sproles, and Turner all on the same team?

Colin has been drinking the Giants kool aid as well lately... He said that outside of GB, there is no clear second best team in the NFC. What an idiot

We don't have anybody as good as LT in his prime, but we stacked 4 deep.

I don't think you should worry yourself about Cowherd, but for him to say they are clearly better is absurd. These two teams are the cream of the crop in the NFC right now, and lets just leave it up to the games to decide who's better shall we?

According to all the pundits the top 2 teams in the NFC right now are GB and Philly.
