Dude is freaking weird, throws for a shite ton of yards and touchdowns but throws some dumbass pics. When he’s on fire he’s one of the best but consistency is his problem.

No this is not a should we thread. It’s just weird to see the trajectory of Mariota and Winston. They were both so highly touted.

winston is no surprise he's not panned out, marriota is kinda surprising. CSP can't fix winston, i'd rather take a shot at Marriota if they had to

ETA:Winston reminds me of brooks in someways, moments of great play then moments of what the frick are you doing

Marriota doesn’t have it. Career backup IMO.

Winston is super talented. But he’s immature. He’s still trying to play college ball in the NFL. He needs to mature more than anything else. Could CSP make him more mature? Maybe he could help, but that’s ultimately on Winston.

Not saying he'll be Manning, but he had a better start to his career than Peyton did over 5 seasons

I'd say opposite. Winston still has potential. If he played for the Saints post Brees, it woudn't be the worst thing to happen. He can sling it and Payton can fix him somewhat. He'd certainly get better coaching here than in that Bucs' clown show organization. And, he might be relatively cheap.

To be fair, it gets easier every year to throw the ball in the NFL. Even now, mediocre QBs have better stats than many greats from the 80s and 90s and better than all the greats from the 60s and 70s.

Absolutely. You would also expect for him to have thrown more interceptions being that they throw the ball more now too. Completion percentage is still higher and touchdown-to-interception ratio is better.

Pretty good I am fasting like every day and Anichka eats like a bird so we’ve still got more than half left.

No. They hamstring the CBs much more these days than in the past. Far more contact used to happen. They've also allowed the O-line more latitude in blocking the pass rushers.

Dd it get to 200 degrees and how long did that take on such a large butt? I rarely smoke more than 6 pounds because my wife and kids eat like birds.

If Bruce Arians can't get Winston to stop making dumb mistakes than neither could Sean Payton. Arians is an excellent developer of QBs.

Mariota is arse. He never had it & never will. Stop believing he will suddenly go back to being what he was in Oregon's offense. Plus he can't stay healthy either similar to Sam Bradford.

JW plays with his heart, not his head. That explains everything.
