Turner has now been in the league for two years.

Games played: 13
Solo tackles: 20
Assisted tackles: 8
Sacks: 3

Sullivan, the biggest draft bust in Saints history, had the following stats through his first two years:

Games played: 21 (actually started 16)
Solo tackles: 37
Assisted tackles: 12
Sacks: 1.5

Do the Saints cut bait or keep him around? He was a healthy scratch for a few games this season.

Obviously keep him around. His cap hit in 2023 and 24 is less than $4 million each year and we don’t have many DEs beyond Cam Jordan.

Just hope he figures it out.

No one will ever be as bad as Jonathan "Buffett Line" Sullivan.

I know it wasn't his fault the boneheads trade the 17th and 16th picks in the first round to move up to 6th and waste a pick on him but damn.

ETA:

Good lord I thought Muller was the GM for that debacle. Loomis should be fired retroactively.

Maybe it’s just me but I feel like turner has actually gotten some big sacks when he gets the reps, but he’s not seeing the field enough. Last season he had a big stand out game and then got hurt. If for whatever reason we bring Davenport back on a cheap contract it will be the case once again that he sits around on the sideline pointlessly . Either way we aren’t getting our moneys worth out of Sean’s brilliant draft picks.

Him being a healthy scratch when we had DE depth issues says something is going on behind the scenes. You keep him around on the rookie contract and hope he contributes and balls out his contract year. Not much else to do with him otherwise.

so, we have 2 young DE's on the roster...

one is healthy, but still can't get on the field...

one is often injured and can't get on the field...

awesome...

It's almost as if they thought they were a step away from being a great team

He might be a situational pass rusher on 3rd downs. I hope they keep Davenport.
