If the Saints lose their 5th straight game on Thursday night, it would be an ideal time to make a change. The Dennis Allen era needs to come to an end. Mini bye week provides some time for the interim to get prepared. Ideally the Saints give Kubiak a shot, if he performs well for the rest of the year, he could be hired as the head coach for 2025. Will Loomis pull the trigger? I doubt it.

Highly doubt Mickey will make a change mid season, and if he did the interim would probably be Rizzi

Loomis himself should be fired, but we know that won't happen

The injuries are probably the safety valve that gets him to the end of the season.

This would be the perfect time to make a change.

However:

Changing the head coach is a bandaid on a bullet hole

From a pure timing standpoint, yes. In reality, DA is going to last the season. He should have never been hired, but changing the HC now is not going to change the results for this season. And, frankly, it might be best if they tanked and got a high draft pick since the org needs a complete rebuild.

If the fans boo DA off the field, he certainly will be gone.

Hope underhill is just being his usual mouth piece but man he doesn’t seem to think DA gets fired, he thinks the training staff will be the scapegoat.

I just can’t imagine retaining Allen but also wouldn’t put it past these made men to try and keep this shite show going

The most Saints move ever is we win Thursday and it saves DA’s job.

I wouldn't put it past loomis, but sometimes the chatter gets to loud and the situation with the team gets out of control.

If they lose on Thursday I don't think he makes it

The team doesn't want to play for DA. That's not happening.

Makes no sense to throw another potential HC into this no win situation.

Injuries plus a cap that is still lopsided is a recipe for failure for anyone.

An fans none of you saw the Saints with a better than 2-3 record at this point so why all the melting down?

Let the rebuild play out, get what you can out of expensive older veterans and also get a good look at the younger players. If a change need to happen ar HC then this offseason is the time to do it.

If DA is fired during the season which I can not see happening then Joe Woods should be promoted to HC. Leave Kubick to focus only on offense and the young players development. Then in the offseason hire him if you think he's the best guy for the job.

If this team continues its current 2024 path, and Allen is back for 2025, anyone who still buys Saints tickets should be committed to a funny farm.

At this point I wouldn’t care if Gayle and Jerry swapped head coaches. Mike McCarthy returns to New Orleans and send DA to Dallas.

Then Gayle needs to show Mickey the door, too.
