Saints could challenge this and say it's a fumble and then we would get the ball on downs.

I would have sworn that is a loss of down instead of 5 yards.

Can’t we decline and first down from spot? He shouldn’t be able to move it forward. Am I looking at this wrong

For as hyped as Mahomes is, he sure does a lot of stupid risky shite with the ball. How many times has he rolled to the sidelines and threw back across the middle of the field today?

It ain't a replay of the down either. That would mean on every blown up 4th down attempt just throw it to a lineman and take your 5 yard penalty then try again.

Because it was a penalty that was accepted. You replay the down.

Seems weird they'd get an extra down.

If it was never a legal complete pass, not sure what would happen if we decline but just feels like we should be able to here.

If it were ruled a fumble we could do this. They ruled it a forward pass
