Check in here if you'd rather trade for Jimmy instead of resigning Jameis

I would only rather Jimmy over Jameis if Jameis wants 40 million and the 49ers would throw in a pick for us to take him off their hands.

A year? No one would give that to him.

And there really aint any indication he is asking for that either. Saints would have moved on quick and no one would be linking him to us at that point
Keep seeing pics of him around the city on twitter. That could be from any point in time though.
Doesnt appear that he is in a hurry to go anywhere.
I dont dislike Jimmy as much as most but id rather Jameis. Def would take Jimmy over Hill and Trevor

The retards aren't the people who want a proven winner at QB. The retards are the people who want the biggest dork in the league at QB.

Even with one of the best offensive coaches in the NFL he is mediocre at best and falls apart in big moments. He is not a proven winner

There’s not a lot discussed about his recent surgery on his throwing shoulder….
Was it just a clean up job, or was it something more serious?
That being said….I think Jimmy is a better overal QB, but his cap number is high. We could likely sign Jameis for less, but I’m not sure how much long term money I’d throw at him. I’m not sure if he’s down to take another cheap/prove it deal, and if another team wants to give him a 3yr incentive laden deal then I would let him walk.

Reports are he will be throwing before camp starts. Silver lining in the surgery is it would cheapen his cost in a trade, you would think.
Folks need to also remember you are trading for one year of Jimmy G at a $27 mil cap hit. Should also lessen his price but that contract will take some gymnastics for it to work for the saints

Jimmy put up worse numbers with better players at the skill position.
How this is even debatable is beyond me. And his fricking playoff stats are atrocious
Last season (3 games):
43 74
58.1%
535yds
2td
3ints
What in the fricking world makes that worth trading for?

Agreed. What I don't get is if jameis doesn't get horse collared he finishes the year with at least 30 tds and we compete with the bucs for the division all the way to the end. We make the playoffs as well either way.
Would we even be considering trading him out for Jimmy g at that point?

Didn’t Jimmy go to a SB and a NFC championship game? How many playoff games has JW won with arguably the best set of WR in the League? Stop drinking that Matt Mascona cool aide. He’s dumbass.

He participated as the roster carried his arse there. Dude is straight asswater in the playoffs and every stat for him backs it up, unless you think 58% comp and 2tds/3 picks less than 200 yds a game is good.
Jameis at the bare minimum has shown a propensity to change as a player for the better. Jimmy is far more injury prone and has always been mediocre.

He played the playoffs with a bone chip and torn ligament in his throwing thumb and a torn capsule in his throwing shoulder

I am not a fan of Jimmy G, but it is laughable how people will take the extremes with both JG & Winston and not consider any other factor because what they found fits their narrative. And, anyone that tries to point out that the extremes don't tell the whole story will be later referred to as fanboys and/or they want these guys to be the starter for the next 10+ years.
In regards to your earlier comment about a 1 year rental; his agents office has leaked out that a few teams are trying to work out deals for an extension if a trade goes through. Could be agent talk to drive up the price, but is interesting to note.

And the super bowl run year the numbers are damn near the exact same.
