You can't say he is an MLB cailbar pitcher now because he threw 7 innings 4 years ago. We don't even know if he had the talent to make it then.

Well, he was drafted out of high school...he clearly had the talent and to act like just because he pitched for 6 innings in one season means that he clearly wouldn't have kept it up is just an asinine belief.

His fastball was low-mid 90s with a slider. That's from years of practice (he always said baseball was his first and favorite sport). Barring injury, he would have made it to the majors as a late relief guy.

The man still runs the 40 in under 5 seconds. He has the speed, just not sure about the hard hitting contact .

No it isn't. To act like he can come back throwing 90+ with accuracy is beyond retarded. He had pitched a total of 6 innings in the last 6 years of his life. You must not have played sports very much. Even if he could pick up a ball and throw 90, that doesn't guarantee that he can throw quality strikes. You get drafted out of high school based on potential. He wouldn't really be getting signed on "potential" at this point. He wold have to prove to someone that he can actually pitch.

This just proves you do not know what you are talking about. 90+ is a dime a dozen. There are NO guarantees that you would make it all the way to the show just because you throw hard.

Because I said all he had was a 90 fastball. Yep, that's all I said.

Call up a MLB scout and tell him you have a lefty that can throw a mid 90s fastball with a 78mph slider and see what happens.

Can't argue with a wall though.

I think you meant to say can't work on baseball.

No I didn't say he can't work on it. I think he has a better chance to make it in football. You clearly don't understand that it takes more to make it in the big leagues as a pitcher than throwing 90 mph.

You mean call up an MLB scout and say you have exactly that, from a couple years ago with a serious injury and a guy that is dedicated to playing football. But that Broski over here thinks he should play baseball, with all the inside knowledge he has of Chad Jones therapy and muscle strength and everything.

Like I said, you know better than Chad Jones. He should hire you as his agent, then immediately go broke.

Dude is retarded. Jones pitched 6.2 innings over the last like 6 -6.5 years of his life and now he can be successful in the big leagues.

Actually, he has mentioned keeping baseball in mind in recent interviews.

I gave my opinion, so did you. It just so happens that mine is the minority. Doesn't make it any less credible than yours.

This doesn't help your cause at all. But if you have to resort to this, do it, doesn't affect me. We are on a message board for god's sake.

Yup, those six innings are the only time he EVER picked up a baseball and threw it.
