I know you think he’s a football god, but there’s plenty of blame to go around when you blow a 17 point lead.
excuses for jameis are ok.
excuses for taysom are inexcusable.
same story; different day.
taysom is 100% to blame when he played with zero offensive line and zero offensive weapons. taysom was just not an nfl qb. its exhausting.

Oh that’s right even the “posi-saints” were allowed to shite on Jameis!!! You’re allowed to criticize the backup quarterback who was making like $5 million a year for not being good. Oh and he even outplayed Carr against Minnesota last year. Everyone forgets that.

I know you think you know what you're talking about, but when you don't read play by plays correctly it shows.
1st drive-Saints mid field, pick up a 1st down, inc/4yd run/ then 3rd and 6 at the 37 we go pass instead of run run, then delay of game ourselves out of a fg range. 3rd and 6 at the 37 with a backup cold qb should be taysom run then run again if you're close enough to go for it. It's bad playcalling.
2nd drive-run/run/pass. 3rd and 9 unable to convert. Why couldn't Jameis get that 1st down with such dynamic playcalling like that lol
3rd drive-1st down pass for 14 yds, holding on the next play, 1st and 14 and Jameis gets sacked, why wouldn't you run the fricking ball to get to 2nd and manageable? Risking a sack would kill the drive, yet czar genius Pete drops jameis back. 2nd and a mile. Then an incomplete pass from jameis on 3rd down would've come back anyways due to a hold.
4th drive penning false starts, turning 2nd and 6 to 2nd and 11. Jameis had 2 passes. Couldn't convert 3rd and 3 (no idea why deep ball shot was called when again, you can run taysom).
No one is saying he's a football god. That's an overreaction when you don't have a good argument.

i've never seen wiksf make execuses for bad play calling for taysom before. but all of a sudden we discussing play calling and missed kicks and all sorts of shite stuff but dont' take jameis glorious 6 tds away.... that's stuff made of joe montana type legend.

Chad still licking his wounds from his massive shite talking thread in 2021 about Taysom clearly being the starter over Jameis and mocking those who thought differently. One of my favorite threads.

No, just that when he played a semi decent team he was bad as a starter. If Jameis could play the shite falcons and you prop him up for it why discount Jameis's good games? You're delusional Chad.

So Jamies threw an incompletion then caused a Delay of game.

Right. No way Jameis did what Jameis does and YOLO’d it deep.
Don’t be dumb.

You need some perspective. That man is getting $150 million dollars to be a bad quarterback and to waste everyone’s time. I’m not going to pretend we are relevant because I know we aren’t. Do you have an idea how much $150 million is?
No, YOU need some perspective, retard.
$150M is what the starting NFL QB market bears these days. Derek Carr is the 17th highest paid QB. He's probably about the 17th best QB in the NFL right now. He's not an elite QB, or even a good one. He's an average to slightly below average starting QB and is paid accordingly.
This team has a lot of flaws and things to bitch about: weak WR corps, turnstile offensive line with no depth, etc. But Derek Carr isn't the reason why this team is going to suck this year.
I'm so sorry you're stupid. Life must be hard for you.

You must be a Saints fan starting in 2006 or later. Things could be much worse. The 90’s were bad and from what I can remember the 80’s were worse.

You people bitching about Carr need some damn perspective. You need to go back and sit through a decades worth of games of Billy Joes, washed up Jim Everett, Wade Wilson, Heath Shuler and drunk arse Kerry Collins.
I would have sold a left nut for Carr back in the 90s.
I think many Saints fans thought Brees would retire and the Saints would just keep the championship contending train rolling along. That just wasn't going to happen. Look at New England today. San Francisco after Young retired. Pittsburgh after Ben retired (they've gone 9-8 and 10-7... now with Russell Wilson at QB) .
Now, if you want to say the Saints should have just accepted reality, blown everything up after Brees left, and start to rebuild again, that is a reasonable argument. But to act like Carr is the worst, or one of the worst QBs in Saints history is absurd. Until 2006 (absent a small window in the late 80's/early 90's) this franchise was one of the worst not just in the NFL, but ALL of professional sports.
The options post Brees were:
1. An average (at best) QB which you hope can do enough on an otherwise decent team to win 9-10 games and reach the playoffs
2. Tank for a year or two an hope you get and hit on a rookie QB.
Neither were particularly fun options. It's just a matter of what type of "medicine" you were willing to take.

Saints had a HOF QB for a decent run. Now we don’t. We are now like the teams we used to laugh at trying to wish a great season into existence. We all knew this is where we would be until we get another QB.

fake news.
you were destroyed again and again only to 2 years later steal my playbook like a punk spewing my lines for jameis' sake.

While the offense was on the field. It was either intentional because they didn’t trust Grupe, or Pete and Jameis couldn’t get the playcall straight.

You tried to blame Pete for “taking the air out of the ball” and then blamed him for Jameis’ incompletions because he should have called runs.
You blamed groupe for missing a FG.
You blamed Pete and the ST for a delay of game when the offense was on the field.
There’s only one person you’ve yet to blame for the Saints’ blowing a 17 point lead.

Carr isn't great but he's like one of the last reasons this team will lose games. Change it to Allen on the sidelines and I agreed.

he's allowed to. it's (D)ifferent for Jameis. but these lines were all excuses for Taysom. Never forget.
