That's some salty NASCAR rednecks...

I like the bountygate thread as well...

I would hate to be the Bucs and be so irrelevant that a division rival's fans would list teams outside of the division they hate more and not a single fan cares enough to hate me.

If they hate Sean Payton that much, he's got to be doing something right.

The Bucs were NFC Central castoffs and didn’t have much history with any other teams in the division

what a division that would be if realignment had been done correctly

NFC East - Giants, Eagles, Redskins, Panthers

NFC South - Saints, Cowboys, Falcons, Bucs

ETA: I don't know about you... but don't you think Panthers/Redskins would be a low-key fun divisional rivalry?

its funny how Bucs fans and Panthers fans hate the Saints so much. I dont know a single Saints fan that despises them the way they despise us.

Would be odd for sure considering that the Carolinas were Redskins country for decades and the line about Panthers fans after expansion was that they still cared more about the skins.

I still think Dallas/NO could be a great rivalry though

Would have been awesome but there's no way Jerry was letting them bust up the Dallas vs. NFC East rivalries.

That would make sense for NOLA & Atl; especially since they were both in the West. But, I think Carolina came in the league the same year they spun off to the 4 divisions within the conference.

Carolina was in the West when they came in around 96. The 4 divisions per conference started when the Texans started in 02.

Always wondered why the NFL didn't go the same route as NBA and MLB and have an East and West Conference. Although that would make for a hell of a season as we would probably be in the same conference as Houston, Dallas & KC

Quick glance would have current divisions as:

Vegas, LAC, LAR, AZ
Sea, SF, Den, Minn
GB, Det, Chi, Indy
NO, Dal, Hou, KC

Mia, TB, Jax, Atl
Car, Ten, Was, Cincy
Clev, Pitt, Philly, Balt
Buf, NYG, NYJ, NE

That's right, they came in with Jax.

I had houston & Carolina flipped in my mind.

After reading some of the comments from other topics across the forum - I'm pretty certain that if the Panthers were an option it would have won the poll. Lotta self hating fans in the Carolina bleachers.

Whomst?

Is Carolina even our second most hated division rival?

1) Atlanta
2) TB or Carolina?

I think my ranking would be

1) Atlanta
2) TB
3) Carolina

Another thread on the forum:

Will the NFL give a super bowl to an aging Cam Newton?

quote:

Many years from now when Cam is past his prime and a couple years away from retirement, having broken tons of NFL records and a consistent track record of being a good human on the field and off the field, could you see the NFL helping Cam add a SB to his resume? They did it for Peyton.

*before you give me the NFL doesn’t give Super Bowls away argument, they have tons of control over teams and game flow. From officiating calls, to scheduling, there are both small and major ways the NFL can give teams small nudges towards winning games.
