shite I hope he doesn’t go to Denver. If he is not resigned we are definitely going DE in round 1

Falcons roster move in 3, 2, 1......

Don't want to see him in Atlanta, but they have a history of taking Saints players at the end of their careers.

Love all three. Cam is basically the defensive version of Brees. But it’s time to turn the page. I’d rather eat all that dead money on the csp this year and start entirely fresh next year.

Can finally have a clean ledger moving forward after this year.

Cam Jordan is my GOAT

I truly detest the idea of him in another uniform

This must signal he is gone because he has like an 18 million cap hit. Would have been really nice to sign him if we were going to keep him and spread that out

Would have been smarter to do this before the deadline

I think this cements him and Demario as not being part of the team next year.

This isn’t necessarily true, it depends on what the definition of “hit free agency” means

The league year doesn’t start until Wednesday

We are allowing teams to speak to him Monday and Tuesday so he can determine his market. We can still sign him prior to the league year and get the cap benefit

This also might mean we’re more conservative in FA than what a lot of people predicted

I still think they get a top guard and a RB but I wouldn’t be surprised if the rest were just 1 year deals to some guys for depth

Organization might be starting to figure things out here. Never overpay for 8+ year vets.

The corresponding move determines if this is a good thing or not. These guys saved the defense last year, single handily. There is a world this is a major setback for what is a terrible roster with no direct replacement.

Rebuilds aren’t necessarily linear. There will be steps back.

I think Cam has stated in the past he's not playing anywhere else and would retire.

Important part here, Cam would have almost an entire 3 days to "legally" figure out his worth.

Yep. Apparently Juwan signed about 90 minutes before the league year last offseason

It’s what needs to happen. Sign some guys on one year deals that have been waived so it won’t count against the comp pick formula.

That was Chase Young and having a QB that wasn’t hopeless

I wonder if they are letting him test the market to see what his value is worth and then trying to work out a deal from there?

I really would hate to see him play for another team.

And I don’t know why people are so quick to want to move on. He led the team in sacks and lead lineman in tackles. And before everyone throws out Chase Young missed 5 games…I’ll point out Young missed 5 games and availability has always been a concern with him. Granderson was basically MIA last year.

I get not overpaying if that’s the issue, but he still has some juice in the tank, albeit not starter/pro bowl level juice. He will be sorely missed if he doesn’t come back.

Yeah that dude is a idiot. His wife was literally getting a smoothie off LaBarre Rd off Metairie Rd this week. Looked like she has zero intention on leaving Nola
