.5 yesterday, now 116 for his career which is 32nd all time

Next up is Clyde Simmons at 121.5

With a good season (let’s say 8 sacks), he’ll be at 123.5, tied with Von Miller, Miller is obviously still playing so. With a great season(10 sacks) he’ll tie Dwight Freeney at 26th all time. He’s exactly 20 sacks behind Rickey Jackson.

Realistically has a good shot at getting those 20 and he’d be a slam dunk HOF

I think 20 sacks is within reach.

He should be a HOFr regardless imo. He is much more than just a pass rusher. He is the definition of an elite every down DE equally as good against the run as the pass.

And so intelligent with how he plays. Rarely is out of position.

I don’t think he will get close.

He’s winding down.

He was dominate yesterday. He had 2 pass deflections to along with the half sack.

Doesn't look to be slowing down to me.

If our DL is the real deal, they definitely created a lot of issues yesterday and he will get more 1v1s. Also seen more stunts yesterday than ice seen last year. Promising.

Kind of frustrated that turner is hurt again, dude looked solid as well only to get turf toe. Such a career wasted because he's made of glass. Makes guys like Cam Jordan really rare - 1 game missed due to injury and he still wanted to play, only held out because it could affect his future life (blindness/sight) if it was worsened

He's still an every down starter. Aging like fine wine.

This. Dude is always available and bats down a shitload of balls at the line of scrimmage.

After 11 seasons in the NFL, Cam had 115.5 sacks a season. That comes to 10.5 sacks a year. While he only had 8.5 sacks last year, he did have 21 sacks over the last 2 years; which would be a 10.5 sack per year pace.

He also added 2 more years to his contract to make sure he’s here for the next 3 years. Even is you really want to believe he’s winding down, he only needs to average 7 sacks a year to get to 20 more in his career. But, go ahead and keep on believing

Going to be a sad day when he and Demario retire 2 absolute stonewall legends on this defense.

12 straight seasons of playing 16 games. Put him in the hall for that. Just incredible

This. He is a monster against the run. So much so that teams consciously run to the other side.

He's the greatest Saint in Franchise history. I know Brees brought us the SB but he also left the city as soon as he could. Cam Jordan is a lifer.

So many of our legendary players got screwed over by Goodell and Vinnovitch. Cam deserves a ring and had it taken from him.

Is this a stat recorded by NFL? If so I’m curious how he stacks up bc it feels like he gets a ton of these.

Cam (just like Rickey) pressures the QB, sets the edge, stops the run, plays every down, and likes others have said is always available. One game missed in 12yrs is unreal given the physicality of the position and the fact he plays almost every defensive snap.

ETA: Found the data. Cam is one of the top pass defenders among DL since they have been tracking this stat. Cam has 60 passes defended throughout his career. For context, JJ Watt has 70.
