The Denver Broncos have finalized a deal to send veteran cornerback Aqib Talib to the Los Angeles Rams, according to a report by Ian Rapoport and James Palmer of NFL Network.

The move will reunite Talib with defensive coordinator Wade Phillips, who served as defensive coordinator of the Broncos when Talib won Super Bowl 50.

Easy to make these moves when they don’t have to pay a qb 20-25mil and are still able to compete

This feels like the team that overreaches thinking they are a piece of so away and then goes 7-9 the next year.

Rams are expected to trade a 2018 fifth-round pick to Broncos for CB Aqib Talib, per source.

All of these moves and a single injury to Aaron Donald is going to derail everything on that defense. They need to get him some help up front.

Yep. I'm actually surprised the Broncos were able to get a 5th round pick in return.

Yeah I can’t believe the Rams are eating that contract.

I'm assuming he'll at least be above average & a legit #2 CB, but 12 mil is a very steep price.

We're lucky to have Crawley at 632 k. That's the definition of value.

Crawley at 632 k > Talib at 12 mil. Not really even close.

I'll laugh my arse off if some team with shitty CB's brings him in to be their #1 CB & overpays for him. I can see that blowing up in their face.

I wouldn't put him at anything more than a nickel anymore. He can still cover most TEs and RBs in the flats, but he would get burned by more than half of the teams' #2 receiver.

Kind of reminds me of that Eagles team (6 or 7 years ago) that completely changed their roster with new high priced players. Everyone had them as a Superbowl contender & they ended up falling flat on their face.

Not saying that will happen to the Rams, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.
