and your argument about Jimmy Johns employees is coherent????

My Jimmy Johns "argument" is a facetious response to feeling sorry for Drew Brees. Like I said, there are billions of people who deserve sympathy before I get down to poor little Drew Brees. I don't wish I was a Jimmy Johns employee. I DO wish I was Drew Breess. I bet you feel the same way.

Of course dumbass there are far more pressing matters in the world to deal with than football. But we are on a message board for football fans, so deal with it.

sorry to hear that man.

No I am pretty happy being the person I am but good luck on reaching your goal of being "Drew Brees" (money-wise I guess, you have confused us all )

He looks detached, not his normal self.

He has not looked right since the first game. He just lookes dejected on the sidelines even before we fall behind in games.

I feel sorry for the bum I passed on the sidewalk at lunch. I feel sorry for the dead bird I stepped over. I do not feel sorry for a multi-millionaire who is idolized by an entire city. Brees is GROSSLY UNDERPERFORMING given the huge sum of money he insisted on being paid.

I don't think he's beyond criticism.

did anyone else notice kc's kicker practicing kicking field goals 35 yds out before the start of OT? meanwhile our kicker is killing time on the sideline sitting on his helmet..

I've already been over this. Be careful. They're about to gang up on you and prove that you are wrong for not feeling sorry for a guy making $40 to skip training camp.

Chill...it's an observation...an opinion. Look, Drew Brees is the best thing to happen to this organization. I was just expecting more of an emotional leadership role. It's just a little surprising to see his lackluster response.

This argument is really infuriating, the man has won a Superbowl (MVP), Set the passing record, is about to break Unitas' streak of games with a TD, Completion pct., etc. etc.

He threw three touchdowns, what else do you want him to do? He wasn't on the field when Charles racked up 250 yards.

He is the best at what he does, why give so much grief over his contract.....

Jealousy. Jester already admitted he wants to be the man.

I know...but his untimely picks are really getting frustrating. They're costing points and momentum. Our OL needs to take a lot of the blame but he's forcing way too much.

All of those things happened before he held out of training camp for a bigger share of the team pie. Like I said, he's the all-time MVP of the Saints. That said, that was then, this is now. I'm not clamoring for Morten Andersen.

He has been mediocre so far this year and is being paid way more than mediocre. Without Payton, Brees really needed to be in camp to build the offense, but he wasn't. The defense is no worse than previous years, but they don't have the supercharged offense to compensate. They're still paying for the supercharged offense, though.
