Brees vs P Manning (Greater of all time)

If Brees can get one more Super Bowl, does he pass Manning?
Brees will have more yards, completions and tds. Manning will have more wins. Both will have 2 super bowls, but Brees will have the H2H win.

No, Brees doesn't get a fraction of the media love that Peyton got

Peyton only missed the playoffs 3 times in his career (his rookie season (3-13), 2001 (6-10), and 2011 (did not play)).

Manning is the greatest regular season QB of all time...there is no catching that for Brees.
Posted on 10/30/17 at 8:47 am to John Casey
He also was in a division (like Brady) that overall was trash.

Bree's doesn't have a Season MVP. Manning has how many that came at the expense of Brees?
We know why. But the media and public opinion won't. It will easily be Manning.

Ummmm, you know we're in the NFC south, right?

Name all the good QBs Manning and Brady have played against and what/how many years.
Now name the QBs Brees has had to face.
Brees has routinely had to go up against much better QBs in division and the changing of the guard so quickly in our division year to year reflects that.

Yeah and every team has represented the division in the superbowl since 2003.

With two SB wins, 5 appearances total.

I know that but from your dumb arse question it seems you don't.

Manning also got to play his career with Dwight Freeney, Robert Mathis, Von Miller, Bob Sanders and I am sure a few other Pro Bowl defenders. Brees got Manning's garbage scraps like Jason David and, with exception of a couple of seasons, basically had no help.

Brees has played in a much tougher division than Manning and Brady.
How many times did their division opponents make the Super Bowl during their career or have MVP's in their division? The NFC South has top 3 picks at an playing against Brees. Also it can't be blamed on Brees that he has had historically bad defenses to contend with. Look at this year. The Saints have a statistically average defense and are 5-2.

While the rest of the division is dog trash. He cant make the statement that Manning played in a shitty division when the NFC south has been equally as bad

bullshite. Year in and year out the NFC South finishes near the top of divisions in total win pct.
Iirc we have at least 4 years since maybe 2010 that we had the best combined win pct.
Meanwhile the AFC South and East are usually near the bottom, meaning it's more than just the Pats and Colts with Manning that beat up on their division foes.
NFC South is a dog fight nearly every single year. We routinely have 3 teams finish 7-9 or better. Most divisions can't make that claim, and the AFC South and East definitely cannot.

Brees before Sean p was good but not hof good.
Manning didn’t need a scheme from a coach. He was the scheme. No other qb has ever done that.

Manning played in the AFC South from 2002-2010.
Indianapolis: 109-35 (9 playoffs)
Tennessee: 77-67 (4 playoffs)
Jacksonville: 71-73 (2 playoffs)
Houston: 55-89 (0 playoffs)
To compare, here is the NFC South's records for Brees' first 9 years with the Saints (2006-2014):
New Orleans: 87-57 (5 playoffs)
Atlanta: 77-67 (4 playoffs)
Carolina: 69-74-1 (3 playoffs)
Tampa Bay: 52-92 (1 playoffs)

Not sure where you're getting your stats. Jax had 71 wins over that period and that's just the first team I checked.
I will say I forgot they had those two really good years. I knew they had one but not two.
Edit:
Forgot division realignment was 2002.
Titans number is legit. I forgot they were actually relevant a couple of years long after their SB appearance. So I'll relent on the AFC South claim, though it was moreso because those teams had great defenses than Manning facing other good QBs on the regular.
