some stats to consider

Since coming into the nfl in 2001 Drew has played atl 12 times.

In those 12 games, he has thrown for 3559 yards 23 TDs and 10 ints.

thats 295 yards per game...

If you take away the one game he faced them as a charger it goes up to about 302 yds/game

obviously he needs 305 to get the record and nothing would make me, and every other saints fan, happier than for this to happen in a win against ATL furhter crushing their playoff hopes.

The numbers are against him, but at the level brees has been playing this year, I'm more than confident...

just imagine what the dome will be like if he hits colston for a TD to break the record.

monday can't come soon enough.

The team, fans, and coaching staff are going to be fired up for him to get that record. Not to mention the possibility to lock up the south with hopes for the #2 see still out there.

I hope Payton puts the pedal down and Brees hits 400 yards/5 TDs again.

Screw that smug-arse Rodgers for MVP.

Background: Brees led/funded Saints offseason workouts. The Packers/Rodgers didnt. After the Packers beat the Saints in Week 1, Rodgers made a smart arse comment about the Brees-led workouts not making a difference. something to the effect of, "you can see what a difference that made".

frick him.

I hope Shaun Rodgers discount double-checks his cocky arse in to frozen Lambeau Field when we meet for the NFC Title.

Haha, I remember this. I'll get blasted on this site, clearly, but I thought Rodgers was correct. Everyone made such a big deal that the Saints had team workouts and hyped it so much that I think Rodgers was tired of hearing it. Looks like he was right as they won 13 in a row.

I took it as a shot at Brees which is what really pissed me off... but perhaps it was a shot at the media.

I think the player workouts were really beneficial for the rookies. In no way did it come close to usual offseason work out and mini-camps, but at least they weren't going into the season totally green.

Rodgers can eat an arse sandwich, and so can Matt "Eli Manning Wannabe" Ryan.

At what point can we stop calling him "Matty Ice"? The idiots at espn continue pushing that one.
