I mean look, I'd be pretty excited if this did happen because at least it would be something new

I have my doubts, but I'd be on board if it did happen

I think he’s committed to seeing his kids through HS and College. But at the same time I know he has that competitive itch still burning inside of him.

Certainly can’t be worse than Loomis. If presented with the choice of GM of Loomis, Mueller, Dimitroff, Ireland… I mean.

This seems like prisoner of the moment thing.... we don't know how Ryan will end up being in his role for ATL, he just started that gig and the sample size is too small.

Brees has never struck me as a football ops guy - doesn't mean he can't do it but it doesn't seem like his bag.

He’d been fine as an advisor but not given an actual title like President of Football and given an official title within the org. That way he’s not meddling in the day to day and can just oversee when he has time but yet does not have any control.

It’s not a binary choice. It doesn’t have to be those guys or Brees. There’s a ton of qualified people out there. Why not Jeff Saturday or Todd Bowles or someone with player/coach and personnel experience?

What would separate former players like John Lynch, Elway, and Ozzie Newsome from a guy like Brees? Those former guys had a ton of success

I have heard Elway say that if pro sports did not work out, he would have been a CPA or something similar. I believe that he majored in Economics at Stanford.

Look don’t get me wrong here. That would be a lot more fun and exciting. I guess I just would rather remember Brees for being the greatest Saint of all time as opposed to taking the risk that it fails and gets real awkward

I just don’t see him as this can’t miss football ops guy. I’d rather do an exhaustive search on the guys that are potentially the next big thing in the FO world and analytics and give them the resources to go wild.

Give Payton a % . He would come in the door putting dudes in the dumpster as quick as you could say Wayne Gandys recliner

I’d give up virtually anything to get Sean back.

I’ve changed my mind. After listening to Brees on the broadcast, I’d be okay if he took over running the Saints.
