Thoughts and prayers. The family is really close, so this will really hurt.

Condolences to his family. The situation in this state with this virus is getting worse by the day. As a healthcare professional who was naive thinking this was just the flu...I was wrong. Stay safe, practice distance and wash your hands

When is the last time the flu caused a President to order an auto manufacturer to start producing respirators? The ICU at University Hospital in New Orleans is full with COVID-19 patients and a new 40-capacity unit is being constructed as I type. You might not believe the numbers, but you should believe what is happening.
Prayers to the Hebert family and everyone else suffering.

No shite Sherlock. I was replying to a guy downplaying the flu which ALSO kills old people.

That has nothing to do with what I said . I didn't even mention covid-19.

GFY

Apparently even mentioning the flu triggers a bunch of crybabies

Prayers out to them, he also had a battle with colon cancer he won, strokes and had Open Heart surgery. I'm sure his body was compromised, not downplaying Covid 19 but he was not a healthy guy.

Have Elections been postponed because of the flu? What about March Madness? How about the airline industry...all but shut down because of influenza?

When the very basic function of how our Society runs, plus entire swaths of the economy self-quarantine, losing countless millions of dollars, it isn’t because it’s the common flu.
