It ain’t arguable. We have 3 DTs on the roster right now.

More threads about melting than people actually melting. I don't see any "WTF, this guys a bum:?" threads. I think we made a solid pick, and yes, he was the best DT available.

This board melts after every draft pick lol. There were actually people on here last year saying Olave was too small T to play in the NFL..

You must be new here?

It was the weakest this season, even when we had everyone. We were obviously soft in the middle. I wouldn't mind double dipping if the board lines up right.

We didn’t draft the guy that was the highest player on the analyst board that didn’t fit the defensive scheme

He is the best DT on the team now. I would have rathered Mazzi, but he is what we need.

DTs are never sexy picks.

Don't understand the love for Mazi. 0.5 sacks for his career. Just a fat guy who hopefully occupies a blocker or two. Maaaybe if we ran a 3-4 and needed an NT.

I think the "melt" is really more a product of being burned by the last two DL picks (Davenport and Turner) and now taking a guy who missed multiple games in his college career with injury.

The Saints needed a DT. And unless they wanted to trade up this was probably the best guy at that position available at 29.

it for sure was.

But not many had Smith still being there at 29.

I liked Bresee over Mazzi, so I'm happy Kancey would have been amazing. I'm also okay if we go with another DT and pick Keeanu Benton, or Grab a DE like Keion White with pick 40.

Then we can get a OG at 71, and RB or WR at 115.

Turner and Davenport were all hype who had never faced NFL level players. Bresee played at Clemson, not UTEP. They are not in the same stratosphere of players.
