Interesting article in the Advocate today. Notice nothing here nor anything in NOLA.com despite numerous commenters on both sites making note of her previous issues. Appears the fix is in to keep her secrets from the public.

The Advocate is the official paper of the Saints and the bigger of the two now so the fix that's in must not be working well.

I disagree. Rita's skeletons have been publicly disseminated for years among commenters on numerous websites including this one, and several newspaper reporters who asserted things in print. Are you suggesting that there's more skeleton's than allegedly being in rehab multiple times, allegedly being a lesbian, allegedly smoking pot in a Superdome suite with Lenny Kravitz and Sydney Torres III (as stated by a caller to wwl-radio), allegedly being a tyrant boss running off assistants every 2 months, allegedly only caring about the prestige of being the owner of an NFL franchise and not wanting to do the hard work necessary - you mean there's more than those skeletons? Which, seriously, are not really skeletons when EVERYONE knows about them.
What more do you have besides these? Please tell.

More like appears to be an attempted smear from the opposing side. Why should we care about either side's secrets? The only relevant issue is was Benson capable/within his rights to make the changes he made.

That doesn't seem very likely. The NFL is not going to wage a PR war against another owner unless they want that owner to sell the team. It's a bit early for the NFL to have come to that conclusion.

Planted or discovered? Someone familiar with the lawsuits making an offhanded reference to them is very different than the NFL telling the advocate to look into past lawsuits. Like I said, it seems a little early in the process for the NFL to be picking sides and getting involved. Although the commissioner kind of doesn't like us.

Many people thought Benson was an a-hole at one time, so his kids/granddaughter probably learned a thing or two from him. But from many accounts, he has had a change late in life for the better, so maybe he see things differently now.
Gale getting arrested for a stolen desk is quite strange though. Maybe they're all a little kooky.
Just leave the damn franchise to the Whistle Monster at this point. At least with him we know the Saints will stay in New Orleans...
