Are you serious about this post on Saints Talk? You're supposed to be watching film and getting ready for game 1.

I'm a die-hard KC fan (second only to my Saints - WHO DAT), and I agree with you.

KC played a very un-Chiefs like game, and the Lions played a great game. While there are three big reasons the Chiefs lost, that doesn't take away from the fact that the Lions played superbly. Give them their due.

KC has been the recipient of not playing against another team's best player many times since Mahomes took over. And, to be fair to the Chiefs, they didn't put down the Lions with an "oh yeah, but if we had Kelce and Jones we'd have whupped your arse" childish taunt.

The Chiefs were classy in their loss, but the announcers constantly making excuses for the Chiefs and putting an "asterisk" next to the Lions win didn't just disrespect the Lions - it also disrespected the Chiefs who (to my knowledge) have never played the "yeah, but..." moral victory card in a loss.
