I agree, I think Ferguson was our guy, which would have been fine. He at left tackle and Brown at right tackle. I would not have minded A.J. Hawk but if we got him I doubt our front office would have gotten Vilma, even if they play different positions.

You are right, if we could have gotten out of pick 2 and back to 5 or 6 and Hawk was still available. But with pick 2 we were going Bush or Ferguson.

Yes still happy.

We would have picked Fergie at the #2 spot, and he has been just ok for the Jets.

Bush sold jerseys, put butts in the seats, and gave the city a sense of excitement we hadn't had since AB ran in it on a bootleg to beat the Rams.

Mario Williams this year owes a lot to the DT next to him. The 20 year old from Louisiville.

Yes still happy Saints picked Bush and the Texans have Williams. Williams is a beast and will be solid for a long time. RB's are a dime a dozen especially in Kubiaks scheme.

Surely you are joking ! The Texans d line is terrible outside of mario williams. Their d tackles are mediocre and just get pushed around. He has earned his 11 sacks this year.

I am happy Super Mario is with the Texans.

Reggie is not just a pick that matters between the sidelines. He has had a huge impact in the exposure of the team.

Before Reggie was there ever a Saint on any national tv commercials/billboards/etc.

Reggie has international appeal - think TV spot with Beckham.

Reggie has increased the Saints appeal in areas outside of the Gulf Coast. Kids in Detroit, S.Cali, Wash.DC, NYC...wearing #25 in Black & Gold.

He's a football player right?

Do we get a first round bye for this? Some kind of trophy or something? Extra home games?

when i first read that i thought you said he surpassed reggie's career total in rushing and i was like

matt forte is already closing in on bush's career total, he'll probably pass him by the end of the season with some of the horrible teams the bears have left

yeah, we would have drafted Hawk most likely

but Hell, even if we did have Mario he'd probably be on suspension for the water pills along with Will

You know what else would get the Saints exposure?

Winning.
