from the New Orleans music played in dome, to the chants, the fan outfits/apparel

Playing devils advocate here

Minus the nola music, whenever they play that, the touchdown song is horrible and needs to be changed

Move dem chainz is lame.

Halftime should just be idiots trying to catch footballs and peewee football. Everything else is terrible

Dressing up for the game has always been kind of a wtf to me. Hey im going to the Saints game today im going to dress like its Halloween. On to the normal people, its pretty trashy across the board. Its the biggest collection of skanks you will ever see

New Orleans is a bunch of nice restaurants, drunks, coonasses, gays, weirdos, crooked politicians and black gangs. It's pretty unique.

Same. And I'd say you have a good argument within the boarders of the US. But it's a different world across the pond. Having been to both Chelsea and FC Bayern home games, it's really astonishing to take in. The chants DON'T stop, even at the half, and flags, I'm talking big arse flags, are constantly waving the whole time. They don't get tired.

Bayern's stadium is a train ride away and is kind of in the middle of nowhere, not conducive to tailgating. Conversely, Stamford Bridge is in the thick of the city and the pubs get pretty lit before and after matches.

I would think a vast majority of the world's soccer clubs (franchises) have similar relationships with their fans/cities.

Honorable mention would be when I took in an Adelaide Strikers cricket match. Those Aussies love their cricket.

Absolutely. Check the crime statistics in Utah compared to Louisiana. I was born and raised in Louisiana too.

No franchise has been at the center of a disaster recovery like the Saints - the populous revolves around this team - City goes in a funk after a loss & after a win, celebrates till the next game! Ask the bar owners if that is not a fact :-)

When I first read the title of this post I thought this is just another Homer post, but you make a fair observation.

I can say that no franchises on the West Coast come close to the atmosphere around the Saints organization - I've attended them all. The closest I've seen was a Packers/Bears game in December that was 20 degrees and had a packed stadium. I was impressed and personally miserable.

I'll give credit where credit is due though: I've seen some soccer franchises in Europe and Latin America equal the Saints.

Why get so offended when someone states the truth? It's sad that New Orleans is so dangerous. I've lost very close friends there because of the savages that dwell there. Thank God for the police.

I heard my first curse words as a wee lad at a Saints game in Tulane Stadium. Also first time I saw drunk people. Good times. Billy Kilmer was the quarterback.
