So you don’t associate with any black people or are they included in your study?

So you are stereotyping with hyperbole packed full of “what about-isms.” Isn’t this the type of shite liberals are supposedly opposed to?

Funny how actual race and racist remarks are being used to counter strawman racism. If you disagree please quote a post that was as disgusting racist against Teddy as your posts have been toward “Trump Supporters”.

And for the record, I have been a Teddy supporter. You can fact check that.

Exactly, this clown is by far the most racist person in this thread. His slight of hand crap isn’t working.

Wait, I’m the racist for stating a fact about what I’ve seen from people who liked Hill over Teddy? That doesn’t make any fricking sense. I’ve been one of the few who has defended Teddy all along.

Are you denying the long history of what southern white people have thought about black qb’s? Are you saying you don’t recognize how that flipped all of a sudden when the white guy was the running qb?

It’s hilarious how y’all trying to flip this on me. Where I’m from, I’m like the only openly left leaning person politically, surrounded by stereotypical tea party republicans. I’m not kidding you when I say every single one of them hates Teddy and thinks Hill is the savior.

We also know that this board, which is majority southern white Trump supporters, also very much hated Teddy and wanted Hill. Y’all keep lying to yourselves and act like this is a coincidence and race wasn’t a factor for many people.

This is the same silly argument used to try to hush criticism against Jordan Jefferson a decade ago despite the fact that Lee had PLENTY of his own detractors.

Teddy's play was justly criticized(though it was a little far) but he has never been criticized as a person.

There were likely many "trump supporters" chanting Teddy Teddy yesterday in the dome.

frick you. You don’t decide when I get to speak.

Still trying to figure out how I’m the racist. So defending the black guy is racist? And this somehow proves my take wrong?

I still haven’t seen an explanation for why a fanbase from a part of the country known for stereotyping black qb’s as dumb guys who just want to run all of a sudden thinks the unproven option qb is the best option. Literally the only difference is that this guy is white.

STFU

We’re all pulling for Teddy and want him to play well while he’s in, but we’re also realistic. He didn’t play up to his potential prior to Sunday and people rightfully call it out.

Insinuating that he is beyond criticism because of his race is textbook soft bigotry of low expectations.

Your time white knighting would be better served on carolinahuddle with the rest of the Camthers.

You’re a racist bitch and it shows with each comment you make. None of this had to do with Bridgewater being black. Just because you wanna be cool and screen shot this shite and show your friends doesn’t make you right. It actually makes you look pathetic and petty. Get out of here with your racist shite and be a better person tomorrow is all we ask.

Bridgewater looked horrible in Week 17 of 2018, the 2019 preseason, and Week 2 vs the Rams.

He has really turned things around. I’m so happy for him.

I never said he was beyond criticism. I was specifically talking about how a fanbase that has had a very specific stereotype about black qb’s throughout football history, all of a sudden decided the unproven white option qb was a better choice than the younger black pocket passer who has been to the playoffs and the pro bowl.

By the way, Teddy is 3-0 against two potential playoff teams and a division rival. I’m pretty sure I also heard that he is the only Saints qb besides Brees to have 300 yards and 4 tds in a game. Yet there are still people right now, even people who are coming around on Teddy, that believe Hill is the better option.

As I said before, if you flipped the color of their skin, this would have never even been a debate. To deny that, is to say you are blind to the history of all of this.

Teddy, in 2.5 games, didn’t complete a single pass more than 15 yards down field. Anyone would get criticized for that. This week, he looked better, completed several long passes, and the critics shut up because Teddy proved them wrong. That shows their doubts were rooted mostly in his play because they went away when he played better.

FYI I prefer running qbs. Before all the dog fighting stuff came out, Michael Vick was my favorite QB, even though the Falcons were a rival team, because he was just so damn fun to watch. Hill is similarly fun. You feel like every play could be a TD or something you’ve never seen before. I love the option. I love gadget plays. I love gimmicks, and Hill is the best NFL Gimmick/gadget play machine since the Dolphins made the playoffs running the Wildcat.

If you flip the skin colors, there would absolutely have been a debate if the white qb went 3 games without completing a downfield pass. You may be so brainwashed by tilting at racist windmills that you believe otherwise, but that’s simply not true.

drive-killing sacks and holding penalties

I still say you can't put all of this on Teddy. There were a number of plays where the o-line was simply missing the defender right off the snap. Hell, the big one where the sack knocked us out of FG range, they rushed 3 players and 2 were in his face as soon as he had the ball. There were also several holding calls right away, the play where McCoy jogged up to the line and immediately snapped the ball, a number of false starts...

Against Dallas & Seattle, the o-line did not bring their best game.

I wasnt sold on Bridgewater and still am not 100%. He threw 4 TDs against TB. Come on...worse secondary in football. I will eat crow and say that he is at least winning. I guess we all get a little spoiled after watching Drew for so long. Teddy is the guy right now so we must support him. Anybody have water...these crow feathers arent going down so easy

Teddy is the starter until he is injured or shows signs of bring inconsistent , Drew needs to get heathy and prepare himself if Teddy goes down.

I’m not brainwashed by anything. I’m not even the kind of person who plays into this kind of race stuff normally.

Everything I’ve said on this subject is based on what I’ve witnessed personally, and the history of how white people in the south have viewed black qb’s.

Again, I never said Teddy can’t be criticized. That would be dumb. I myself criticized him on a play I didn’t like. My point was about Hill being the overwhelming favorite to replace Brees by a large portion of our fanbase, and explaining why I thought race was at play.

Maybe it was because Hill was for the most part effective and teddy wasn't. Now suddenly teddy has a damn strong game and the majority of his critics are either silent or are happy about his play and excited about it. That right there blows your race bullshite out the water.

I was never one calling for hill and kept saying teddy would need a little time to get going, but hill was much more exciting to watch and I wanted to see what he could do too.

Bottom line, you bring race into this because you are the racist.

I’m racist for pointing out the history of this stuff, and for pointing out that I know for a fact race was an issue for some people because I’ve witnessed it? I honestly don’t even know who y’all think I’m racist against.

All I know is not one person here can dispute what I said about the stereotype a certain group of people from a certain part of the country has had about black qb’s. Then all of a sudden, a white qb comes along and fits that category these people had for black qb’s, but the white qb becomes a fan favorite. Ain’t that something. Funny how that works.
