To be honest, the no call took away a lot of my passion for the sport but not for the Saints. I suspect once the season starts I'll be back to normal, but like you said I don't really care right now and I feel like nothing can happen to make me look forward to going through next season as of now

you and me both man. The only thing that take this knot out of ny stomach is for us to start strong next year and allow me get some joy back for football. If we have a bad start next year, I will be a depressed Saints fan. This type of stuff is harder to swallow than going into a year knowing you are bad. (I have a good feeling about next year btw. We have a championship caliber team. We’ll see)

Didn't realize Delanie signed an extension last year, my bad.

We didn't trade Peat. I believe we tried.

Yup.
Even if roger did a internal investigation and found out there was a payoff and cheating by the ref/s I have zero confidence those facts would ever see the light of day.
Roger has stated several times "its all about protecting the shield" and I believe him.
As others have stated being I think Drews last year has me interested in the Saints this year.

It's unfortunate, but I'm in the same boat. The way the last two seasons have ended just really take it out of you. At least the Vikings game ended on a Hail Mary...should've never been allowed to happen, but it's part of the game. The NFC championship, however, is something you never get over. It's hard to accept all the time, money and emotions you invest in a season like that for it to all come crashing down on the most obvious bad-call possibly in all of sports. How do you get excited ever again knowing the precedent is now set (and no safeguards being implemented) for an entire season to be rendered meaningless on one call? Add to that our window is closing fast with Drew and the cap situation and it may be a long time before we ever build a team this caliber again and I just don't know how I can keep swallowing the disappointment

I have no plan to follow the NFL until the Saints begin the regular season, then I'll record the game and watch it later if it interests me.

I am no longer an NFL "fanatic" in any sense of the word. In fact, I'm beginning to prefer Rugby to American Football.

I could care less about free agency. I care about the draft cheapest way to improve

My fanaticism died on the field that day. I will probably watch the Saints in the fall but not with the enthusiasm I once had. If it's all a sham and the man behind the curtain is pulling the strings, what's the point of getting all worked up about it?

I will enjoy watching Brees play out the string. He is the consummate professional. Too bad I can't say the same for the refs or the NFL overlords.

Same here, I have always followed everything Saints related everyday. Now I look once a week, if that, and feel like even if the Saints have the best team next year it won't become of anything, something will happen, I don't trust the NFL at all. Never really did anyway, but now, not for one second.

If the NFL is rigged, then this is the Saints’ year and Brees rides off into the sunset... would be heck of a storyline considering how the last 2 seasons ended.

NFL NEtwork said that Green Bay “won” free agency in the NFC already, yet I didn’t know who the frick the guys they signed were on defense.

Since the Saints don't have draft picks this year to fully address weaknesses/upgrades, they have to be as active as last year in FA to solidify certain postions, maybe even more so this year.

Signing a Cook and/or an Asah would have this board drooling again.

I never have a hard time getting excited about the Saints & I've been a fan since Day One.
In reference to team personnel, we are at least equal to last year's team & as I recall we had a damn good year.
Someone tell me how we are not as good as last year.

I've had such ptsd from the playoff game, that this is my first day checking the saints board. I used to spend at least an hour a day on here.

I am still hurting over getting fricked, but my spirits and interest is back at 100%. Remember, this is the golden age of being a Saints fan, and I have forgotten 40 plus years of hopelessness. We have a legit shot at getting to the Super Bowl this year. Get back in the game, friend.
